>>DOMK: Hot Solapad AAPL iPad Accessory Preorders Outstripping Production Schedule<<

That iPhone solar case, shown in the picture posted, is enormous and really ugly. Haven't seen the iPad version, but it would have to be a whole lot better looking than that, and not add so much bulk.

For one thing, it means that all the hype we're hearing about 700s and higher is premature...
My own prediction is for 700 before the end of the year. I think that's perfectly mature. ;-)

Apple's GM guidance will be low, probably by 250-350 basis points

You can get people to do all sorts of embarrassing shi ... eh ... stuff!

Darn which hotel?

If I request one from the places I stay, they just call you on the phone for a wake up call!

Bet it comes with free massage too!

>>Apple's 1st calendar quarter of 2012 computer sales, in context<<

Apple continues to increase its market share in computers. Imagine how much better they might have done had they refreshed any of the Mac product lines in the past quarter.

Computers should help Q3. I think we should expect refreshed iMacs, a new MacBook Pro, etc.

<<Care to share the number behind the $12 FQ3 earning forecast?>>

There are a couple of places on the interwebs where the independent analysts featured in PED's quarterly stuff hang out and discuss their estimates (methods, results, etc).

Some have blogs where they post stuff.

Here is deagol's

Here is the intro page for the Braeburn Group

and here is a thread discussing AAPL Q3 estimates

Much goodness there, you'll find, and many more numbers than my humble attempts

Hiring a mob to stage a phony protest does indeed seem rather sleazy. Worse yet, it just seems just like a bad advertising. Black and white clothes and bus? WTF is their point?

Apple doesn't exactly have clean hands when it comes to sleaze in advertising, though...
