It's all AAPL good but I hope you dumped LQMT, on Monday. ;-)
Not Doren, but I had some LQMT as well. I think I had posted before that I put a sell limit order a .50 on shares I had purchase at .13. I was watching the amazing run up and got greedy and cancelled the order. Then, on Monday, I saw it starting to head south and got at .41. Still a triple and I am happy. I will buy it again if it goes low enough as I expect the stock price to go wild prior to iPhone 5 launch.

As for Apple, I had a limit order in last week at 560. I wanted to pick some up and play the earnings. When it didn't go down that far, I picked some up at 580. Then, it did go down that far and picked some more up at 560. I just sold that trading position at 611. Made a few thousand each on LQMT and the Apple trade. I am completely out of LQMT and still have my overweight long position in AAPL.

If LQMT gets down to .13 or so again, I would welcome seeing someone post it here.

Sorry, posted this to you via PM by mistake...
I will buy it again if it goes low enough as I expect the stock price to go wild prior to iPhone 5 launch.
Ditto. Well worth the gamble, in my book.
If LQMT gets down to .13 or so again, I would welcome seeing someone post it here.
I don't think that will happen. I'll buy anywhere below $.20. And, if it looks like it bottomed out and will not go below $.20, I'll buy that.

Apple's Blowout Earnings Fuel Push for Dividend Hike

“The best thing they can do is [make] steady increases in the dividend,” said Larry Haverty, portfolio manager at Gabelli Multimedia Trust on CNBC's " Closing Bell." “There's plenty of room for improvement in the payout…Steady increases maybe once every six months and push the stock up between 2.5 and 4 percent yield and we might even get more than $750 [a share].”

Last month, Apple announced it will pay a quarterly dividend of $2.65 per share, starting in the quarter beginning July 1, and added it will begin a $10 billion share buyback program.

Delaying it a week gets it to a regular quarterly options and futures expiration week.

Apple's March Quarter Results: The Good, The Bad And The Irrelevant

On April 24th, Apple announced results for the company's 2nd fiscal quarter ended March 31, 2012. For the quarter Apple reported revenue of $39.186 billion and earnings of $12.30 per fully diluted share. These results represent year-over-year revenue growth of 58.9% and eps growth of 92.2%.

Apple's results for the March quarter exceeded Wall Street estimates by a country mile and in after hours trading the shares retraced recently lost ground and closed the session above $600.

Apple has transformed from being the maker of individual product lines to a purveyor of an integrated device and services eco-system. The March quarter results demonstrate the company's growing global dominance of the both the smartphone and emerging tablet device markets while extending Apple's leadership in offering a broadening array of content for these devices.

I've titled this article Apple's March Quarter Results: The Good, The Bad and The Irrelevant. I'd like to take each of these qualifiers in turn.

The Good

So, they gonna split this AAPL, or what?

That would goose AAPL into P&F, way out there in the outer stratosphere objective.

I know Jobs was not up for that, but Cook can use a hefty AAPL price hike, I grok. ;-)

Just sayin'.

Doren,

Especially of you have not seen--but really, even if you have--do not miss the chance to go to Dead Horse Point SP. I also highly recommend at least a day exploring Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands, although Needles is spectacular, too. Numerous short hikes and great viewpoints in Island in the Sky. Enjoy.
