my thought is that if Apple owns ALL the rights to their metallurgical knowhow, LQMT might make an awesome short by the time the day-traders get tired of it....
Apple does not own ALL the rights.
Cupertino purchased exclusive rights to use the super-strong alloy in its consumer electronic products.

Sold 1/2 those calls on the opening mini-spike. I expect they are going to try the $$580 or $570 level. Hoping they shoot for $600 after dropping it out of the gate.

We'll see. Will seek to reaverage if I can get the drop

Almost OT but there is an iPhone in the picture, for good measure...

Bought back my shares this morning. After looking at the earnings models, Apple is still worth 12.5 times EPS for this year and 9.9 times EPS estimates for next year.

The other thing that impressed me was that Verizon is selling so well this quarter. I suspect the same will be true for everyone else, but the real key for the quarter is new sales in China. Those won't be slowing down any time soon, and Apple still has 1 more carrier to add. Plus, China Telecom only had 1 month of sales this quarter, and will have their first full quarter of sales for the June quarter.

A lot of people are probably still looking to take profits, but the stock has already turned over a lot of those profits.

OT

Dont forget the Kitchen sink
OT but there is a relevant point.

Reminds me of a car that is parked in my neighborhood.

There are a number like this, but this one is special.

I'm not sure what goes on with these cars -

Either these are people who live out of their cars (car is their home)

Or the owners are the ultimate pack rats

Or they collect what their spouse throws out and they keep it in their car.

Anyway you pass by one of these and look inside and they are literally filled up to the top with stuff.
And I mean stuff. Amazing array of things most of which stay constant in a given car.
Some even have bags tied to the top (occasionally even furniture...)

Anyway to the point of this story which is turning quickly into a shaggy dog -

The special one I'm talking about here has all sorts of stuff piled up inside and outside and on the driver's side I noted one day, there was a kitchen sink.

(relevant section follows - yo!)

So yeah those cars are kind of like products that Microsoft and others come out with.

Lots of junk included, some functional, some not so functional, and often little interconnectivity between components.

Some of us are pack rats and some of us like to be functional and get work done I suppose

PS
In NYC - how they avoid tickets or getting towed is beyond me.

I agree Keith. I still love the $588-$592 level for support. Below that, I am concerned about the $550 level but I don't think we'll see it .... and if we do, that's fine too.

I lighted up my call load and I've been slowly adding some deep ITM leaps because they're cheaper to own in order to capture the next 18 mos. of growth that I think we can have. I'm thinking of carrying my trading call position through earnings.

You HAVE to have pullbacks to generate foundations of support for the next price increase. Very happy to see it and even happier that I didn't jump earlier from the decrease starting at $640. I don't have huge expectations going forward like many, but the valuation proposition is too good to pass up in my mind ... even if you take the four little letters off the stock (AAPL) and put on four others of your choosing.

Cheers.

And there's the gorilla at the back of the room who keeps yelling, "Don't forget the kitchen siiiinnnk!!!"
OT

Just one more comment.

Don't even think about where it came from.

Just hope that gorilla doesn't forget to flush.

Okay
I'm done here.
