Hiya annie

I got out of AAPL about a month ago. Partially. Sold 1/3 of my shares outright. Sold calls on the rest.

AAPL promptly gained about $60 / share since then, so I've been feeling just a little left out for the past month. Today it only lost about 1/3 of what it gained since I sold.

Bad move? Maybe. I officially still own a bunch of AAPL. If you still own yours, you're ahead of me, is what I figure (the price I got for writing the calls is nowhere near what they're worth now).

I didn't want to post again until peri-earnings. 11 days from now. And I haven't been keeping up with the board, frankly. Too much self-flagellation I think, plus a bit of somewhat unrelated fraternization with one of our old RB pals.

I've been quieter than you lately, and I'm still here. Sorta. We can both do this ... where else is there?

:)

wow, I did not expect that response.

A quiet thank you to all of you. And to spit, nice to see you.

I just felt really embarrassed for jumping up there and putting my "business in the street" all by myself.

I'll lurk and maybe post if my big toe feels adventurous and the water isn't too cold.

Annie

Oh, they will take care of the charges. If there is even a hint of reluctance, they can start 'splaining to one of our nice socialist Canadian judges.

The water is pretty warm in the pool, but it's because all the men have been pissing in it.

I recommend you join us out here in the ocean, it's a bit colder but we need some women around to keep things interesting. The men still piss here, but it's impossible to notice with all the water.

Wow, that was a tortured metaphor, but I'm a few sheets to the wind at the moment.

In any case, at least we know you're out there, please feel free to jump in whenever you want to. :-)

Who cares? Your money, keep talking, we ain't out of pocket on it!

I mean, there is another dude on another thread having to do with Apple, who posts the most OUTRAGEOUS trades, ever. Multiple times, daily. Does anyone care? Nobody.

Keep posting. We're all friends here.

Kind of a support group, for trading addicts.

Hi, my name is... and I am a trading addict.

Your turn... :-)

>>Annie is referring to ggamer's post, to which she was the only one to respond.<<

Oh, heck. Now I feel like a jerk.

I didn't respond myself, because as most of you know, I own exactly one share of AAPL, and it didn't seem that it would help anyone to know what I plan to do with it.

I plan to hold it, in case it does help. I have thought about selling it only when it has reached a price that would enable me to buy a new Mac mini (the higher end one), which I'd like to use as a media server.

Sorry, Annie.

I certainly hope you do. I thought your post about your holdings was great. Not having any assets to invest, I can't do it, but I'd mirror your strategy if I could.

I appreciate your contributions here a lot, and I believe everyone else does, too.

I'm thinking about getting out of the water myself, now. ;-)

Apple posts separate Flashback removal tool | Electronista

Unfortunately, in its infinite wisdom, Apple made this tool work only with Lion.

Sigh.

Only for Lion?

That is totally dumb.

When I was looking at the detection and extraction instructions, I was thinking that it should be pretty easy to script - in other words easy to write a detection/extraction app for any version of X.

What aspect of Lion are they depending upon that makes it work only in that version?
Some stupid happy message with cute puppies and cats that pops up when it's done, probably.

Kind of like having beer that you can only pour into a square glass, a regular glass it'll lose it's fizz(or whatever it is about beer that makes people drink it)
