You heard it here first. The Bear market is over... (We regained the 200 day sma. Very important.) I think now we enter a new bull market.... at least until September. Then I'll take another look. Still holding SOXL FWIW
too much doom & gloom <g> creates great trading opportunities though <hehehe>
edit: note the time and the date...Dow now at 230 up @ 12,358, NAZ @ 2,835 up 56 points & the S&P500 1309 up 23 points.
of course only time will tell if I'm right or not. But I know I am right on this call... <g>

<<the Bear Market is over>> I'm like a woman, (sorry gals) - I've changed my position (mostly based on lack of volume - which is lack of conviction), so I sold SOXL for a loss of 5.90% (925 shares @ $25.81).
I just bought HVU.to which is a tricky little bugger to time. Anyway I'm in at $4.60 @ 5000 shares - a full load in other words...
regarding the 5.90% loss... that was a bad mistake on my part, I got stupid & held. My goal is to limit losses to 4% - otherwise it is devilishly difficult to overcome the loss.
Anyway, another lesson learned.
edit: by the way I normally have a two or three hour (daily but sometimes I miss two or three consecutive days) window in which to view the markets in real time. I wish I could devote the whole day... but I can't.
That's just the way it is... <ng>

still holding HVU.to... Obviously looking at the market through the cloudy lens of a bear.
from a technical angle you could surmise that a double top has been triggered (the big "M")
& you could also argue that HVU.to is sitting on support.
Which will win? Time will soon tell us if I am correct in my assumption or not...

very interesting day from a TA point of view. Dow up +100 points (up again on very anemic volume) yet VXX-n up too cracking the $20.00 level on pretty good volume. It makes for an interesting week. FWIW

I'm predicting a crash. Negative 1000 points + for the Dow. I don't know when and that's the problem. I think it will happen sometime between today and November 1st, 2012. I am fully positioned to take advantage IF that happens.
Time will soon tell..

...hmmm I've realized what I am missing. At the end of each month, I will post my net position (in cash) so that readers (not that I have any) will know where I stand. For example at the end of March 2012 (when I started trading) I had $20,000. I am sure that people will want to know how I have made out. So on a monthly basis (month end) I will post my net position & also how I have done cumulatively. Those results will be posted in the header so that readers (meaning me) will know where I stand month to month.
