Zenyatta Ventures; Drilling Continues to Intersect Wide Zones of Graphite Breccia at Albany GRAPHITE Deposit in Ontario, Canada

April 23, 2012 10:30 ET

THUNDER BAY, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 23, 2012) - Zenyatta Ventures Ltd. ("Zenyatta" or "Company") (TSX VENTURE:ZEN) is pleased to announce an update on drilling at the Albany Graphite Deposit, located near Hearst in northeastern Ontario, Canada.

Drill hole #3 (Z12-4F3), which is near completion, was collared 200 metres ('m') north of the original discovery drill hole (Z11-4F1) and drilled in a southerly direction. Significantly, upon passing through the overburden/limestone, the hole immediately intersected graphitic breccia which shows the deposit coming to near surface. A wide zone (43.1m) of graphitic breccia was intersected from 62.6m to 105.7m followed by a zone of graphitic overprinting from 105.7m to 133.5m. Another, very wide zone (128.1m), of graphitic breccia was intersected from 133.5m to 261.6m. This represents the largest intersection of graphitic breccia drilled to date. Graphitic overprinting consists of veinlets of graphite within the granite.

Drill hole #2 (Z12-4F2) was designed to test the southern extent of the graphite breccia pipe. The drill hole was collared 200 metres ('m') south of the original discovery hole (Z11-4F1) to test the limits of the geophysical anomaly model and to define the contact of the graphitic breccia body. The drill hole defined this contact and intersected a wide zone of graphitic breccia and graphitic overprinting, where the breccia pipe model predicted it would be located. The drill hole intersected a wide zone (59.62m) of graphitic breccia from 380.27m to 439.89m.

Graphite analyses for these two (2) drill holes are expected over the next 10-12 days. A plan map, section and additional photos can be found on the website at www.zenyatta.ca.

Holes #4 (Z12-4F4) and #5 (Z12-4F5) have been proposed by our geological technical team and are shown on the website plan map. These drill holes will further test the geophysical conductor with a large (400m) step-out to the east. Hole #4 is scheduled to be started in the next 5-7 days.

The goal of the current drill campaign is to geologically define the extent of the graphite breccias, delineated by an airborne geophysical conductor with approximately 4000m of wide-spaced drilling over the next 2 months. As previously announced in the Company's news releases, recent drill holes on the Albany project have intersected extensive graphite-rich breccia zones. Subsequent petrographic examination of samples sent to Lakehead University ("LU") confirmed the drill hole had intersected a very rare hydrothermal (magmatic) occurrence of graphite with a flake size ranging from fine (-270 mesh) to coarse (+40 mesh). As per recommendations of the LU report, SGS Canada Inc. (Mineral Services Division of Lakefield) has been engaged to assess the purity and metallurgical response of the graphite material.

Aubrey Eveleigh, President and CEO stated "Drilling continues to expand this unique and large graphite deposit at our Albany project. The Company is looking forward to continued definition drilling and receiving the graphite analyses within the next 2 weeks."

The graphite discovery is located 30km north of the Trans Canada Highway, power line and natural gas pipeline. A rail line is located 70km away and an all-weather road approximately 4-5km from the graphite deposit. The Albany graphite deposit is near surface, underneath glacial till overburden.

Mr. Aubrey Eveleigh, P.Geo., President and CEO, is the "Qualified Person" under NI 43-101 and has reviewed the technical information contained in this news release.

Standard Graphite Explores 13 Quebec and Ontario Properties
By Greg Klein

With 13 wholly-owned properties in Quebec and Ontario, Standard Graphite TSXV:SGH is a company in search of a flagship. But within a year, President/CEO Chris Bogart maintains, Standard will have designated its focal point and developed a 43-101 resource. Then, he adds, with the expertise of its experienced graphite team, the company can take a worthy project all the way into production.

Just last week, Standard finished a 3,310-line-kilometre airborne electromagnetic survey over its entire domains. “The results will be coming,” says Bogart. “We’ve already started ground work on our Ontario properties. As the snow melts, we’ll do the mapping, sampling and trenching for all the properties. Once that’s complete, we’ll rank our properties according to the results. And then we’ll start developing those and moving towards drill targets for the summer. Once you’re drilling, the season is 12 months a year.”

Strike Graphite Mobilizing Drill to Simon Lake Graphite Property

April 24, 2012 09:18 ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 24, 2012) - Strike Graphite Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SRK) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has begun mobilizing field crews to commence an exploration drill program at its wholly owned Simon Lake Graphite Property, located in Northeastern Saskatchewan.

Drilling is anticipated to begin on or about April 24, and expected to require from 35 to 40 days to complete. The exploration will test both historic showings and those identified from the recently completed VTEM program. Approximately 2,500 to 3,500 m within ten holes, will be completed along the 25 km long conductive trend.

Initial drilling will focus on testing known graphite mineralization along the original 5.5 km long, Simon Lake conductive trend; with approximately 2-3 holes. Up to 7 additional holes will test the recently identified 25 km long conductor, located southwest of Simon Lake, proximal to Saskatchewan Highway 905. The results of the high-resolution airborne TDEM survey (News Release: February 23rd, 2012) are currently being interpreted and combined with the historic drill-hole intersections of graphite and existing structural information. The interpretation consists of advanced forward plate modeling of the graphitic horizons at depth; the work is being conducted by Living Sky Geophysics Inc., of Saskatoon, SK.

All relevant graphite intersections recovered from drill-core material will be processed for mineralogical characterization and initial metallurgical testing.

The work program represents the second phase of the Company's aggressive 2012 campaign that will include a summer and fall exploration program of further ground surveys and drilling. This exploration will advance the highest priority targets in terms of large-flake graphite along this 25 km trend.

strikegraphite.com

The Simon Lake Graphite Project covers 11,800 hectares, and is located approximately 300 km northeast of La Ronge, Saskatchewan and is intersected by Highway 905. The property consists of several showings of flake graphite mineralization in historic drill holes, which were discovered during the exploration of base metals during the early 70's. Historic Drill Hole 2-72 encountered a graphitic biotite gneiss with descriptions of "abundant graphite" over a 68 m interval.

Approximately 5.5 km to the southwest, along a the same conductive horizon, Drill Hole E42-5 encountered a graphitic biotite gneiss with core descriptions of "disseminated graphite" or "coarse graphite flakes" over 182.9 m of core, with narrower intervals described as "graphite flakes abundant" and "heavy graphite in 6 to 12 inch bands".

Within the southwest part of the property, approximately 6 km east of Saskatchewan Highway 905, a large and highly conductive structure has been interpreted as a fold hinge. At this location, the conductive unit exceeds 5 km along strike and is more than 2 km wide; and may represent the strike extension of the graphite-bearing lithologies known at Simon Lake.

Geoff Balderson, President remarks "Explorations is advancing as expected and we intend to continue an aggressive approach to follow-up the large-flake graphite potential that we have identified at Simon Lake. From here our goal remains achieving a graphite resource status as quickly as possible for our shareholders."

Neil G. McCallum, P.Geo., is a Qualified Person pursuant to NI 43-101, and has reviewed and approved the technical disclosure of this news release.

Standard Graphite Acquires Historical Resource at Mousseau East Deposit

April 24, 2012 08:00 ET

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - April 24, 2012) - Standard Graphite Corp. (TSX VENTURE:SGH) (the "Company"), is proud to announce that it has successfully signed a Definitive Agreement for the acquisition of the Mousseau East Deposit located some 40 kilometres northeast of the town of Mont-Laurier in northwestern Québec. The new property is located within 50 kilometres of Timcal Canada Inc.'s producing Lac-des-Iles Graphite Mine and currently the larger of the two producing mines in North America. With this new acquisition, Standard Graphite is now in a position to build a NI 43-101 resource by upgrading the historical non-compliant resource and with strategic exploration of the deposit.

The Mousseau East Deposit was discovered in 1983 following the emplacement of a new road in the area north of Ste-Véronique, Québec. Systematic exploration was carried out by Graphicor between 1989 and 1993 with property-scale electromagnetic geophysical surveys along cut grids, and exploration and definition drilling leading to resource estimates. The Max-Min II survey (EM), which was conducted on lines spaced 100 metres apart, identified a main conductor trending NW-SE and continuous for a strike length of 1.2 kilometres displaying maximum widths of up to 50 metres. It is flanked on its western side by a slightly narrower conductor. Drilling completed between 1989 and 1992 consisted of three successive campaigns and some 62 diamond drill holes, totaling 4996 metres, allowing for a resource calculation to be conducted. The possibility of initiating a mining operation was evaluated using only a 40-metre-deep open-pit on the main resource of the Mousseau East Deposit.

This preliminary evaluation of the mining potential was based on resource estimates calculated internally in 1992 by Graphicor Resources for the levels comprised between surface and -40 metres. This estimate was further verified and validated independently by Derry, Michener, Booth and Wahl (DMB&W), now based in Vancouver. The historical non-NI 43-101 compliant estimates quoted are presented in the table below.

Standard has not completed the work necessary to verify the classification of the mineral resource estimates. The Company is not treating the mineral resource estimates as NI 43-101 defined resources verified by a qualified person. The historical estimates should not be relied upon. This property will require considerable further evaluation, which Standard's management and consultants intend to carry out in due course.

The property is underlain by Grenvillian geology, namely metasediments of the Central Metasedimentary Belt consisting of calcsilicates, quartzites, and biotite gneisses having been subjected to amphibolite grade metamorphism. The graphite is hosted in the calcsilicate levels and occurs disseminated or in nodules where it is found with diopside and other pyroxenes.

It must be emphasized that this resource only takes into consideration the levels comprised between surface and -40 metres. The graphite horizon is known to continue below the -40m level as well as along strike. Some further untested targets need to be explored, especially a widening of the conductive zone located some 600 metres to the SE of the main Mousseau East Deposit. The company is planning due diligence work to begin shortly on the project, and a field exploration program will be implemented following a complete assessment of the historical information. Due to the project having been left dormant since 1992, the Company needs to assess the drill locations, cross sections, EM data, and proposed mine plan from previous operators.

Chris Bogart, President and CEO comments: "We are extremely pleased, having achieved this important milestone. This most recent acquisition advances Standard into a different category and brings the Company one step closer to production." Benoît Gascon, Senior Vice-President, Business Development, further adds: "Given the amount of work done on it by Graphicor, a then graphite producer, and my knowledge of the market and the industry, I have a high level of confidence in its potential to provide graphite products suitable to meet the current and future requirements of the market."

The Juniors Shall Prevail
An Interview With Zimtu’s Dave Hodge
By Greg Klein

Dave Hodge is President/Director of Zimtu Capital Corp TSXV:ZC, an investment company focused on private, micro- and small-cap resource companies. He spoke with ResourceClips writer Greg Klein April 18.

Q: Would you give us a bit of background on how Zimtu began and how it evolved?

A: Zimtu has taken a variety of forms, from an exploration company to a dot-com company. When it was a dot-com, the company spun out its mineral properties and created a new exploration company called Commerce Resources.

And after the dot-com market fell apart we realized that the best thing we ever did for Zimtu shareholders was create Commerce because they received shares in Commerce through a share dividend.
An Interview With Zimtu's Dave Hodge

So we reorganized the company and essentially went into the full-time business of creating junior-exploration companies through a dividend process. That was relatively successful. And to augment that, through a series of partnerships with prospectors and/or geologists, we have developed quite a transactional business where we’re involved in staking properties on a partnership basis and helping market those properties to other junior-exploration companies.

Ultimately, that part of the business works well from a company-creation aspect because what you get by buying Zimtu stock is access to that very early stage of junior exploration. And in that very early stage there is tremendous upside and tremendous potential.

April 25, 2012 13:45 ET

OAKVILLE, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - April 25, 2012) - MEGA Graphite Inc. (MEGA), is pleased to announce that agreement has been reached with Strategic Energy Resources (SER) on the revised terms and adjusted timetable for acquisition of the Uley Graphite Mine by way of the previously announced Merger Implementation Deed (MID). The Uley Graphite Mine is currently owned by Tarcoola Gold, a demerged subsidiary of the ASX listed company, Strategic Energy Resources Ltd (SER).

Since March 31, 2012 MEGA and SER have made significant progress in negotiating mechanisms to implement the scheme of arrangement under the MID. Agreement has now been reached. The MID originally contemplated that MEGA would issue to SER, 33% of the issued capital of MEGA to properly reflect the value of the Uley asset purchase, including a $1 million dollar payment and a 1.5% ongoing royalty payment. The amended MID now provides that SER shareholders will now receive 50% of the issued capital of MEGA pursuant to the Scheme of Arrangement (Transfer Scheme). There will also be property payments made by MEGA to SER totaling CAD$3 million payable in tranches, while the ongoing royalty remains in place. The final property payment tranche is payable on completion of the listing of MEGA Graphite. Specific terms of the IPO, including the number of shares to be issued and the price of the shares are currently being determined. The listing of MEGA Graphite on the TSX is now scheduled to occur by August 31, 2012.

Christopher Darby, Managing Director for MEGA in the Asia Pacific, commented that, "With the assets, management and operations group we now have in place the company has the potential to deliver significant and sustained value. We have global tenements and can achieve near term graphite production through the work we are already doing at Uley in South Australia. The asset strength of MEGA Graphite combined with the skills, experience and depth of capability across our team will differentiate us for our customers and in the market."

MEGA Graphite is currently negotiating with a Canadian investment fund to provide additional working capital of CAD$5M for the continued operations and upgrades to the current graphite processing facility at Uley in South Australia. MEGA is also pleased to announce they have engaged Macquarie Capital Canada as their financial advisor for future financings and its go-public strategy.

About MEGA Graphite Inc.( www.megagraphite.com)

Uley Graphite - The Uley graphite deposit is known as one of the largest coarse flake graphite deposits in the world, containing disseminated, high-grade flake graphite. Discovered in the early 1900's, Uley was worked intermittently since the late 1920's. Exploration during the 1980's led to the re-opening of the mine in 1989, but a sharp decline in the work graphite prices in 1992 and an increase in freight prices caused the mine to cease production in 1993. When in operation, the plant was capable of producing up to 14 000 tonnes per year and the mandate of the MEGA engineers is to progressively build up to 20 000 tonnes per year, rating the Uley graphite project one of the largest flake deposits in the world. The mine and processing facility has been under care and maintenance since its closure. The 20 tonnes per hour processing plant is intact, however, it requires refurbishment to make it completely operational. Power, water and communication lines are all connected and the necessary permits are in place to carry out mining operations.

The high grade mineralisation is near surface and the graphite flake produced from the former operation was very popular with trading companies for its high quality and consistency. The *JORC compliant resource currently stands at over 6.6 million tonnes with a total graphitic carbon content of 8%. Historically, the mine`s large flake products has always had good acceptance from customers and provides the confidence to focus on mass distribution of the different grades to both the traditional and emerging market customers. There is a nearby skilled workforce and substantial infrastructure with all exports able to be made through a number of channels including a deepwater port less than 25km away.

North American Projects - MEGA continues to work towards mining, processing and purifying of natural flake graphite from its 100% owned North American based projects. The primary target markets for MEGA include traditional graphite applications, as well as high purity markets in lithium-ion batteries, graphene-based applications (in products such as flat panel displays) and expandable graphite used in fire retardants, high performance gaskets, conductive fillers, and electromagnetic pulse and radiation shielding. With vertically integrated open-pit low-cost operations combined with its leading edge technology positions, MEGA Graphite is poised to become a leading cost-competitive supplier to global markets of high-grade graphite products.

Technology Advantages -MEGA Graphite has developed proprietary technologies with on-site milling systems designed to run in the highest-grade zones to achieve graphite grades that can be refined efficiently and economically. The benefits of using these systems include improved production yields, lower operating costs, and more sustainable mine and milling operations. This creates a highly versatile product range and expands the company's potential customer base.

Path to Market - MEGA Graphite has a global database of customers who require purified natural flake graphite, which can significantly enhance the performance of their technologies. MEGA is developing processes to size, shape and coat its graphite to purity levels that will satisfy the most exacting needs of high purity customers.

Rare Earths - MEGA also owns the Big Mack rare metal petalite property, located in the Kenora mining district, Ontario. The Separation Lake Greenstone Belt (SLGB) is host to the most important rare-element pegmatites in Ontario and may contain the greatest number of complex-type, petalite-subtype pegmatite occurrences in Canada. These pegmatites are host to many rare elements and metals such as lithium, tantalum, niobium, tin, rubidium and cesium.
