I hear you, but all the features we have with the new editor outweigh that little delay. People can now post all sorts of HTML pages in their posts making for some awesome looking messages. The new editor is wickedly fast compared to the old one. I have been testing, I think the longest I have waited for composing a new message to load was less than a second.

Cool. The SI Editor now works again on iPad.

But when I want to bold the first word, the popup blocks the B.

I can move it down a few lines, bold it, and then move it back up.

One more test, color.

It would be great to have the colors box not cover up the selected words.

Quite often the loading screen lasts for a second or two. This appears to be less optimal performance than I have come to enjoy on this free site.

If your browser has a massive cache, you might be able to improve performance by clearing it or reducing its size to less than 50MB. In Firefox, go to Settings->Advanced->Network and press "Clear Now" on "Your web content cached is currently..."

If that operation takes 5-10 minutes, it's a sure thing that your cache is, ironically, slowing you down. Try SI Reply again after you clear the cache. That will show "loading..." for 1-2 seconds while your browser puts our files back in your cache. Then try it a second time and it should be instantaneous.

mine stays on permanent loading.... until I hit the text editor. All in all you took something that was simple and made it difficult. Though im sure the feature outweigh for most.

I like all the new changes. An extra second of loading doesn't bother me at all.

I disagree, I think that the broccoli is overcooked.
