Listening to the interview and the wonderful effusion of quotes from it; Woz pretty clearly is saying that Windows Phone is fundamentally a more beautiful, modern and easier to use OS; better in pretty much every respect excepting the breadth of available apps.

Indeed, a good place to be. Personally, I'm not sure which farting phone ip4s app would round out the current 80,000 app selection and complete the trifecta, but indeed... hearing this from Woz should enlighten a fanboy or two. :-D

Betcha Woz is going to love his WP8 phone even more. :-D

The ironic thing is that apps on the iPad are so much better than anything on any phone, even the iPhone, that I no longer care if my phone has an apps whatsoever. 80,000 apps on Windows Phone would be more than sufficienct if they were the right apps and good quality to boot. Unfortunately, I couldn't name more than 10 that are halfway decent. But then again, who needs apps on their phone?

A lot of good publicity for Nokia and Windows Phone. Let's hope it translates to actual end user sales demand for Nokia and the start for some market share gains for Windows Phone.

That's why I love my Galaxy Nexus. It has a 1280x720p 4.65" awesome screen to web surf full web sites, instead of looking like a moron carrying a 10" behemoth iPhart with me everywhere I go... the iPhart is DEAD... did you notice that even though there was a new iPad in the quarter actual iPads declined?? LMFAO... too funny... people don't like that carry along the iPhart. That's why a phablet like the Galaxy Note is selling like hotcakes. LMFAO... too funny...

Apple has a lot to lose with the recent moves by AT&T and the talk at Verizon Windows Phone plans. Both have Apple and the iPhone as the main target. It will be interesting to see the AT&T and Verizon numbers at the end of the year...

Sure. Wasn't that expected? Remember, Apple guided to a 25% decline in revenue from Q1 to Q2 that got you all hot and bothered.

The YoY comp was much more favorable (up nearly 200%). And the year ago quarter had the much more impressive iPad2 introduction.

Yes, they have about 8 million iPhones in quarterly sales at risk if sales go to zero because of Windows Phone. But for all we know, AT&T and Verizon have volume commitments for about 8 million iPhones per quarter. This is all talk.
