Yeah that is the million dollar question. If the market drops 50% from here will the miners shows some positive divergence or will they continue to out pace the market on the downside? Given what happened in 2008, you have to to think that the miners will continue down. NGD went down a staggering 80+% in 2008. Now it is getting close to "only" the -50% mark. A 2008 like drop would put it sub 3. But who knows, so I am hanging on and not doing anything tricky like trying to sell now and trying to buy back later.

We will look back on the period from Oct 2011 to May 2012 as the pinnacle of the post crash Fed bubble manipulation.

A market that ignored every single bit of bad news, rallied on puffballs of bullish wind that was nothing more than gamed statistical noise.

And every bull idiot that believed this nonsense deserves to cry tears likes it's 1987 or whatever.

And best of all, that ivory tower clown will be proven to be just that.

Get a boat drink, kick up your heels, and watch the show, cause it's coming.

Like Russell says, the primary trend will do it's thing in good time and that trend is a mighty bear that a little pissant ivory tower assclown no-nothing tried to manipulate.

P,

Couldn't agree more.

I'm actually a bit surprised by the trading today. I figured they would do everything to make the turn, as we are hitting some very interesting levels (short term) on the S&P. And a few other equities I follow are making some low hits.

If they fail here, we are probably getting the start of the real down. I have some scary targets, as I believe the algo rats will simply flee without a second thought. The basic premise to buy is negated and even when we were up this morning, the bear premium was getting phat. The rats know.

R,

<g>

Actually I have two interesting ideas. One for a book and one for a screenplay. Both are messy, incomplete, and I'm not sure they say anything that hasn't already been said (and better perhaps).

My last screenplay was based on an idea from a post on SI. And one morning, one of the two people that knew the story called me up and told me to type in a movie title on Google. And I had some heartbreak that day.

I wonder if Hemingway would do, "American Pie Six" if the money was right <g>

Probably, but at least the low is a ways below. Gives room for a retest. The HUI did not look good into the close, and unforturnately I don't see a lot of support anywhere nearby....there's a stick low level at 363, but I think the bigger more durable level is 335 or so, around the 62% fibo retrace number. Hard to see how NGD can buck that. I'll probably be shedding hedges at that level and maybe adding some NGDAF. Meanwhile, I think the broad markets are just getting started. They've followed gold for the last 3 years, it's gonna be the same this time. Gold is the liquidity canary......

Somewhere there is a correlation between the Euro and the S&P. Cause I'm thinking 1.19/1.20 is very possible, but what I'm not as certain about is where the S&P will be. There are several reasons for this, but the primary is what I call, "the gear effect". That is when they drive the Dollar up overnight and weaken it at 3 am while jamming the futures. It has, IMO, severely skewed the relationship.

Just saying, there is a Blue's Clue for us to investigate.

67 Philly cops to help out at NATO summit in ChicagoBreaking News Desk

Can you find the night stick?

Sixty-seven Philadelphia police officers are going to Chicago this week to assist in security operations for this weekend’s NATO summit.

The officers, who will be drawn from around the city, will be in Chicago Friday through Tuesday, said Officer Jillian Russell, a Philadelphia police spokeswoman.

The summit is scheduled for Sunday and Monday and is expected to the target of a variety of protests.

Police from Milwaukee and Charlotte-Mecklenburg, N.C., also will be helping their Chicago counterparts, the Associated Press reports.

Philadelphia Police Commissioner Charles H. Ramsey started his law enforcement career in Chicago and was considered for the top police job in the Windy City last year, but he decided to stay in Philadelphia instead.

52Egypt$1.7310
53Kuwait$0.8854
54Saudi Arabia$0.6152
55Venezuela$0.0955

The table above is based on this Bloomberg article " Highest & Cheapest Gas Prices by Country":

"The cost of a gallon of gasoline ranks with bad weather as one of the most universal complaints. In the U.S., the price of gas is getting even more attention than usual this year as presidential contenders battle over energy policy.

What's lost in the debate is how much the U.S. and other countries actually pay for gas, relative to one another and to their citizens' wages. The ranking above sorts 55 countries by: a) the average retail price at the pump for a gallon of premium gas (from April 2 to 11), and b) by "pain at the pump," which is measured by the percentage of average daily income needed to buy a gallon of fuel."

MP: The world's cheapest gas is found in Venezuela at $0.09 per gallon (cheaper than bottled water), where the cost of filling up the 39-gallon tank of a Chevrolet Suburban is only $3.51, compared with $163.41 in the U.S. The most expensive gas among these countries is India, based on the "pain at the pump" measure. A gallon of gas costs $6.06 in India, which is more than 100% of per-capita daily income (based on annual per-capita GDP of $1,400). If gas was that expensive in the U.S., it would cost about $200 per gallon (based on annual per-capita GDP of $48,387). So even at $4 per gallon, gasoline here is a real bargain.

Based on the price of gas relative to income, the U.S. ranked No. 50 out of 55 countries for the "pain at the pump" measure, and that was based on gas prices at their peak in the U.S. in early April. Now that U.S. prices have fallen by almost 20 cents in the last six weeks, the "pain at the pump" has eased somewhat - so quit your whining about "high" gas prices! Relative to income, we have some of the cheapest gas in the world.

I received a lot of emails, thanks a lot. As you know, we have a trouble of Fukushima nuclear plants problem now. I can't export the bonsais to the overseas. The customs make a hard check for the packages from Japan, so the bonsais don't pass through the customs. But I will be able to send the bonsais at this autumn or winter again.

And another, now it's a best season of flowering Satsuki Azalea.

kind regards.

I wonder what, "don't pass" really means.

yeah DOOD ---> the whole world's gonna gonna go to hellinahandbag dontchaknow???......

so market has been marching up, up , up and as soon as we get a correction out of your hole you come.

i'll know things are REALLY bad when westy materializes and tells us that the SPY is headed to under 400.

the problem with you pasty-faced gloomies is you cant make any money; you're too scared to go long, which is where the money has been the last 3 years and just about everytime you go short you get your asses handed to you on a platter.

add to that you're armed with guns & ammo with no one to shoot at....

and buckets & boxes of freeze dried food that will spoil before you ever get a chance to eat it.

....... while i'm still eating the calf I raised (on my mini-farm project) and slaughtered last June AND making bank on my longs

----> not EVERY long... but by and large my profits from longs far exceed the losses. you cant trade and not have losses. and the last 3 years the winners have been those who have been net long.
______________
got your garden planted yet?

on my list of things to do:

plant vineyard,
plant pomegranate trees,
plant apple trees,
plant fig tree,
plant, plant, plant......

it has been a mild drip drip loss in the markets that can be made up with one FP IPO launch party.
i think the safest day to go long is the last hour of trading prior to the ipo.

there is nooooooooo fear.......we feeeeel the fear because we are all in tune with HUI.....no else is.

i hate that some sites i go to that now require a fb account to participate....i now ignore those sites.

bottom line FB has a crappy interface......horrible privacy.......and not much different from MySpace, AOL, MSN, Prodigy communities.

It is incredibly annoying hearing all the ads to 'like' our company on facebook.

At least I use and will continue to use amazon......

yeah what the f with gas prices! oil down to 93 dollars and gas pushing the highs again?
thanks bennie and obama.......you destroyed savers and people who need to commute to a job.

still unreal that 4 year ago it took oil at 180 to get to the 4 dollar mark.

You need to check the public record of previous estate sales involving same broker and same judge.
Is there evidence of prior collusion ?
