It's all leading to "The Hunger Game" in more than one way

Brandon Jacobs involved in New Jersey ‘Death Race 2012' scandal
....We're talking about the police basically sponsoring an activity that lets rich people put the public in serious danger. We're talking about the police saying, "Yes, it's OK for this Lamborghini owner to use your Aunt Martha's Pontiac Aztek as his own personal racing cone."

KINSHASA/KRUGER NATIONAL PARK, South Africa (Reuters) - The hit job was done by professionals who swooped over their quarry in a helicopter before opening fire.

The scene beneath the rotor blades would have been chilling: panicked mothers shielding their young, hair-raising screeches and a mad scramble through the blood-stained bush as bullets rained down from the sky.

When the shooting was over, 22 elephants lay dead, one of the worst such killings in northeastern Democratic Republic of Congo in living memory.

Man, where did that come from? I can't find that release on any of the sources I normally use. It has been my opinion that the ramp up to full production at New Afton while on schedule will take longer than most were lead to believe, most thinking summer 2012 and we would be there.

IB had it.

I've never read anything about NA taking longer than expected.

yes, and i show us right at the 5 year pivot (on the weekly) of ~ 429.00

i personally think gold is going to hold around these levels mainly because i lean towards the camp that says --- like you --- there is no solution to the mess we are in.

given that it looks like there is no way out of the debt with current fiscal policies i suspect they will just keep doing what they've become accustomed too ---> raising the debt ceiling and printing under one name or another.

i think the next round should be call "shout"

then when operation twist & shout is over we can move on to something else like the freddy

having said that, i prefer the good ol' days of $30 per barrel oil and $300.00 gold, and would be pleased as peach if commodities crashed altogether. and - fwiw - i own no physical gold or silver and no plans to buy any anytime soon.

It isn't the start up but the time to ramp to full production that maybe I was confused with. In any case by this time next year new Afton should be at full capacity and if the price of gold holds........

BTW, I caught Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last Friday night. Bruce was his guest. Great interview and with Tom Morello and E Street they did 3 songs, Death to My Home Town, We Take Care of our Own, and finished up with E street Shuffle. I haven't see him live but I now see why you are hooked on his concerts. Next time he gets to PDX I'm in.

Supply over powering demand.

Seasonality... May just around the corner.
