CyberKnife? Prostate SBRT Outcomes and Quality of Life Data Presented at American
Urological Association Meeting

Long Term Outcomes for Intermediate-Risk Prostate Cancer Patients

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- SUNNYVALE, Calif.,
June 7, 2012 /PRNewswire/-- Accuray Incorporated (ARAY), the premier radiation
oncology company, announced today that outcome data on intermediate risk prostate
cancer patients treated with CyberKnife? Prostate SBRT was presented at the
American Urological Association Meeting (AUA) 2012 held in Atlanta, Ga. The
prospective monotherapy study, titled, "Four Year Outcomes and Quality of Life
Following Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy: A Rapid, Non-Invasive Alternative
for the Treatment of Intermediate-Risk Organ Confined Prostate Cancer," expands
upon prior studies to further evaluate the long term efficacy and quality of life
outcomes from treatment with CyberKnife stereotactic body radiation therapy
(SBRT) for intermediate-risk prostate cancer patients. The study found a 91
percent biochemical control rate at four-years, which is comparable to both
surgical and non-surgical treatments for intermediate risk prostate cancer
patients, while demonstrating similar to improved toxicity outcomes.

The study consisted of 81 intermediate-risk organ confined prostate patients
treated by Dr. Alan Katz at Winthrop University Hospital with a median follow-up
of four years including 24 patients with a minimum of five years follow up. This
study showcases the long term published data on the use of the non-invasive
CyberKnife SBRT five day course of treatment for intermediate-risk prostate
cancer. Most notably the study found a four-year relapse-free survival rate of 91
percent. Patients experienced mild toxicity with minimal impact on quality of
life and immediate to rapid return to normal activity. These results further
support the value of CyberKnife prostate SBRT to achieve high rates of long term
disease control while sparing healthy tissue and critical nearby structures,
thereby minimizing undesirable side effects typically associated with other
treatment modalities and preserving patients' quality of life.

"CyberKnife prostate SBRT offers patients a short five-day, non-invasive
treatment for organ confined prostate cancer," said Alan Katz, M.D., author of
the study, currently a radiation oncologist at Flushing Radiation Oncology.
"Based on our study results, patients with intermediate-risk prostate cancer have
an option for a less invasive alternative to invasive surgery or six to eight
weeks of conventionally fractionated radiation therapy, that effectively and
efficiently treats their cancer, while preserving their overall quality of life."

"This study represents positive long term outcomes of CyberKnife SBRT for
intermediate-risk prostate patients, further supporting the value of this patient
centric technique," said Omar Dawood, M.D., M.P.H., senior vice president of
global medical affairs for Accuray. "These results add to the rapidly maturing
strong foundation of published clinical evidence for CyberKnife prostate SBRT and
further support the need to create head to head evidence to compare outcomes of
this treatment with surgery and conventionally fractionated radiation treatments
as is underway in the recently launched PACE study. We look forward to the
outcomes of the PACE study, which aims to build upon these results and further
support CyberKnife SBRT as a potential gold standard for the treatment for
patients with organ confined prostate cancer."

One Year After TomoTherapy Acquisition, Accuray on Track to Meet or Exceed
Integration Success Metrics And Expecting Near-term Return to Profitability

CFO Presents Strategy to Deliver Growth and Vision for Future at Wells Fargo
Healthcare Conference

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 21, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Accuray Incorporated
(ARAY), the premier radiation oncology company, announced today the company's
successes since its acquisition of TomoTherapy Incorporated one year ago and its
vision for growth and profitability in the future, as part of a presentation by
the company's chief financial officer Derek Bertocci at the Wells Fargo
Healthcare Conference in Boston.

As part of Accuray's transformative acquisition of TomoTherapy Incorporated on
June 10, 2011, the company set forth success metrics. Through the first three
quarters of FY2012, Accuray has consistently met or exceeded these goals.

In addition to reiterating the company's plans to return to profitability by the
end of fiscal year 2013, which ends June 30, 2013, Accuray provided additional
milestones for its fiscal year 2013. These included enhanced revenue growth,
beyond the maintained or modestly increased revenue the company committed to for
fiscal 2012. Specific guidance for fiscal year 2013 will be announced during
Accuray's earnings call for the results for 4th quarter of fiscal 2012, but the
company intends to focus on maximizing product sales through continued product
innovation and market penetration.

Accuray also anticipates further service gross margin improvements reaching 20-22
percent for the full fiscal year 2013, which is higher than originally announced.
This continues the significant achievement of three consecutive quarters of
strong service gross margin improvements during fiscal 2012, climbing to 16.1
percent in Q3 of fiscal 2012, surpassing the company's original goal of 10
percent by the end of fiscal 2012. Service gross margin improvements stemmed
primarily from improvement in the reliability of TomoTherapy? Systems, which has
enhanced customer confidence and helped drive system sales.

"At the one year anniversary of Accuray's acquisition of TomoTherapy
Incorporated, we look back with pride on what we've accomplished to date, but
most importantly reaffirm our commitment not only to achieving, but surpassing,
our integration and growth goals," said Derek Bertocci, senior vice president,
chief financial officer of Accuray. "We are realizing the strategic benefits we
outlined when we announced the acquisition of TomoTherapy Incorporated through
installed base expansion, revenue growth and improvement of service gross
margins. The dramatic progress we've made means a lot of forward momentum as we
start into our next fiscal year and work to return to profitability."

Customers continue to recognize the value of Accuray's technologies - the
CyberKnife? and TomoTherapy Systems - which are not only well differentiated but
also best-in-class at delivering stereotactic radiosurgery/stereotactic body
radiation therapy and image guided-intensity modulated radiation therapy. While
cross selling multiple products to customers and the associated revenue synergies
remain a significant future benefit of the acquisition, the majority of Accuray's
growth continues to come from taking market share from its competitors, with 90
percent of the company's more than 600 units installed in rooms previously
occupied by competitive products or newly constructed vaults. Therefore, unlike
its competitors, the majority of installations for Accuray are to new customers
that grow the company's market position and fuel the growth of its installed
base, and in turn grow the company's service business.

In order to maintain the company's strong innovation lead and accelerate both
products, Accuray continues to invest heavily in R&D. Enabled by the acquisition
of TomoTherapy, Accuray increased its R&D spend by 23 percent for the first three
quarters of FY2012 from the spend by both companies during the same period in
fiscal year 2011. Accuray expects to see operating expense benefits as a result
of the company's increased scale and intends to reduce operating expenses to
approximately 45 percent or less of revenues by the end of fiscal 2013.

Accuray Announces Installation of TomoTherapy? System at University of
California, San Francisco

Image-Guided, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy Added to UCSF's Suite of
Treatment Options for Cancer Patients

SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Accuray Incorporated
(ARAY), the premier radiation oncology company, announced today that doctors at
the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Helen Diller Family
Comprehensive Cancer Center in San Francisco, Calif. are now treating cancer
patients with the TomoTherapy? System, the only radiation therapy system
specifically designed for integrated, daily, 3D image-guided, intensity modulated
radiation therapy (IG-IMRT). The TomoTherapy System, which stands out as one of
the most advanced and comprehensive radiation therapy technologies available, is
capable of treating a broad range of tumors--from the most common to the most
complex--with speed and precision while reducing radiation exposure to
surrounding healthy tissue. The TomoTherapy System will help clinicians at UCSF
to treat a broader range of tumors as well as personalize and expand radiation
treatment options available to cancer patients

"At UCSF, we are dedicated to offering the most advanced cancer treatment options
available in order to provide accurate and highly individualized care for each
patient," said Mack Roach, III, Professor Radiation Oncology and Urology, Chair
Radiation Oncology at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center.
"Having a dedicated system built from the ground up to deliver IMRT treatments is
a valuable addition to our suite of cancer care technologies."

UCSF installed its TomoTherapy System in May 2012 to replace a standard linear
accelerator and to date has treated malignant tumors in the prostate, rectum,
bladder and gynecological treatments. In addition to its TomoTherapy System, the
Center offers the CyberKnife? Robotic Radiosurgery System which is also
manufactured by Accuray, as well as a full brachytherapy program, a proton beam
system and other stereotactic body radiation therapy and radiosurgery systems to
ensure each patient has access to the best treatment option for their unique
case.

The TomoTherapy System utilizes daily computed tomography (CT) imaging to
identify the exact position of the tumor on each day of treatment, enabling
clinicians to customize treatment for each patient, minimize radiation exposure
to healthy tissue and critical structures and reduce side effects. Unlike
conventional systems, which allow radiation to be delivered from only a few
directions, the TomoTherapy System rotates as the patient moves through the
system resulting in treatments that can be delivered continuously to the tumor
from hundreds of angles. More beam directions give physicians more control in how
the treatment is delivered--and more assurance that the dose will be confined to
the tumor, reducing the risk of short- and long-term side effects.

Accuray to Acquire Morphormics, Inc.

Acquisition Allows Accuray to Provide Leading-Edge Image Processing Software and
Further its Mission to Deliver Personalized Treatment Solutions

SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Accuray Incorporated
(ARAY), the premier radiation oncology company, announced today that they have
signed a definitive agreement to acquire Morphormics, Inc., a privately held
company founded by University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill faculty members
based on their research in autosegmentation of medical images. Morphormics
develops medical imaging software systems that automatically recognize and
extract anatomical structures from medical images. The agreement provides that
Accuray will pay approximately $5.7 million.

In 2008, Accuray began licensing Morphormics' autocontouring technology, which
automatically identifies and draws the boundaries of the prostate and surrounding
critical structures. This enables the treatment planning software to focus the
radiation dose on the prostate and minimize the delivery of radiation to
surrounding critical structures. With the acquisition of Morphormics, Accuray
plans to extend autocontouring capabilities for both the CyberKnife Robotic
Radiosurgery System and the TomoTherapy System to improve disease specific
workflows.

"Since our licensing agreement with Morphormics began, we have seen firsthand the
benefits the company's technology provides clinicians in improving efficiency,
especially in the treatment of prostate cancer, and its potential to improve
patient outcomes," said Euan S. Thomson, Ph.D., Accuray president and chief
executive officer. "The acquisition of Morphormics will expand Accuray's IP
portfolio, reduce our licensing expenses and strengthen our engineering team with
top talent from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. This strategic
acquisition is another important step toward providing leading-edge treatment
solutions personalized for each cancer patient."

"This is an exciting opportunity for our company that will bring the benefits of
our technology to more patients," said Edward Chaney, Ph.D., co-founder of
Morphormics and professor of Radiation Oncology and Biomedical Engineering at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. "Accuray's acquisition confirms the
value our technology offers in its ability to dramatically increase efficiency
and accuracy in the delivery of image-guided medical treatment. We look forward
to joining the Accuray team and further advancing innovation in this area."

enabling clinicians to customize treatment for each patient, minimize radiation
exposure to healthy tissue and reduce side effects. The TomoTherapy System uses a
radiation beam that continually rotates in 360 degree arcs about the patient,
meaning that treatments can be delivered continuously to the tumor from every
angle.

The CyberKnife System is the first and only robotic radiosurgery system that
provides a pain-free, non-invasive treatment option for patients who are looking
for an alternative to surgery or who have an inoperable or surgically complex
tumor. CyberKnife treatment is typically completed in just one to five days,
instead of the 40 or more treatment sessions typically required with conventional
radiation therapy. The CyberKnife System offers unique capabilities that
automatically account for the natural motion of the tumor throughout treatment.
The ability to manage motion in real time helps ensure that radiation is
delivered only to the tumor while sparing healthy tissue and critical structures.
