Mathematical Modeling of Oil Shale Pyrolysis Reaction

Author: K. Ghesmat, S. Save
28th Oil Shale Symposium, Colorado, October 14, 2008

Abstract

The pyrolysis reaction of an oil shale particle is investigated through developing an analytical model. In particular, the role of diffusion, reaction decomposition rate as well as particle size is analyzed. It is found that the kerogen decomposition rate is varied exponentially with time while the oil and carbon dioxide production rates are nonlinear functions of time and will have a parabolic type of change. It was found through this study that the oil shale particle size is very significant during oil production and plays a very important role. The diffusion was also found to have a similar effect as particle size.

I suspect that Bordynuik is trying to negotiate a deal allowing him to resign without admitting to fraud. That way the company's insurance will likely cover most of the litigation expenses.

So any guesses about what the insurance premiums will be going forward, assuming they can renew the policy?

There is definitely something wrong with Bordynuik's left eye. Prosthetic maybe ? Not a good color match and apparently doesn't track.

It has been my experience that insurance companies aren't very forgiving, especially under the current conditions at JBII. Dollar to a donut they would be dropped by a legitimate carrier.
