Banking on Biometrics Conference
Set for Dallas, March 24-26, 1998

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI, September 27, 1997 - The "Biometric Digest"
announced its second annual conference, "Banking on Biometrics," set for
March 24-26, 1998. The action packed two day program will be held at the
Adams Mark Hotel in downtown Dallas, Texas.

The conference is designed for financial institutions - banks, credit
unions, savings & loan associations, card processors, vendors and
investors. The conference focuses on biometric applications for the
financial community. These include finger imaging systems, iris scan,
facial recognition, voice recognition and others.

In announcing the conference, Bill Rogers, publisher of the Biometric
Digest, said, "Our 1997 program was a first for the financial community.
The feedback was excellent with a very high percent of attendees saying
this should be an annual event. The conference will include beginners
programs for those who are new to biometrics along with workshops on
technical issues. We hope to double the number of vendors displaying
their products and services over last year."

Industry experts say the financial community will be one of the major
benefactors of biometric technology. Finger imaging applications are now
used by both credit unions and banks. ATM providers are moving to
install iris scan technology in ATMs. Voice recognition applications are
coming into telephone audio response systems.

"We are putting our program together and should have it completed within
the next few weeks. We will announce the formal agenda within the next
30 days," said Rogers.

The Biometric Digest is a monthly newsletter reporting on biometric
activities in both the commercial and government fields. For more

No I was referring to this one! "The NDA I signed, is with Cogent." techstocks.com

I assumed it to mean, "The non-disclosure agreement I signed is with Cogent". I'm asking if you are referring to "THE" Cogent.

I agree, but did ya get a look at RII today??? 307/16.... and they are no longer buying companies for just stock.... it's either cash or stock... plus they have slowed the buying spree.... should I wait till another buying spree hoping the extra stock brings it back down, or just buy now and ride it out... I have the time...at least a year till I want to build my house...(the house that Wayne built); or, I could just hang on to the money and use it as a down payment (a guarenteed down payment) I really want to buy more NRID.... Good luck everyone.

I'd stay away from NRID for the momment. It is better to jump on the train as it leaves the station than be standing in front of it when it pulls in. In other words, don't buy while going down, buy when it starts to move up.

For NRID to move up, it has to show more earnings. Wait until the next earnings report, then we'll see if there is anything behind all this news we've been getting. I've been in companies before where investors got raped because the CEO focused on PR and price rather than sales. Considering their annual report was dismal and a string of news has not produced upward movement, my guess is some of this might be going on. NRID has several mechanisms in place that would allow officers to expense out the company, strip it from the inside in other words, and we would not know about it until its too late. To advoid this kind of risk is one reason why you wait for some significant upward movement. And don't forget, NRi (and I do mean "i") is not a real company, it is a "Mom and Pop Shoppe". This in itself removes a lot of checks and balances that most companies, as we think of them, have.

I like RII and believe it will be up to $40 in 1/98. Wanye said he'd split the stock if it got to $40 so it has about two years of good growth in it. If you can aford to hold, I'd do so. Add on weakness.

I believe the big mover however will be Certicom. It is just a question of time before Mr Softy licenses its encryption software. When this happens, Certicom will double in two days, maybe triple within a year. I'd be looking to buy Certicom between $20-25, also on weekness. You have about 3 more months to get in at this bargain price range. Ooops! I see where someone has just cracked S/MIME RSA 40-bit security with a screen saver wired.com  This means, Mr. Softy and Netscape are moving closer to Eliptic Curve Cryptography (i.e., Certicom).

What I'm saying, is don't put all your money into RII. Look around and hold off on NRID

dan dan, dr. doom,
What devices are you talking about. NRI management will only be able to cash out after the stack makes a big move. they are not in this for their measly salaries, or expense checks. John G is well respected and could be with many large companies in this field. He is here because he believes that he can make a fortune when NRID goes up.
NRI, is more than Mom & Pop, they obviously have some pretty good talent, on their staff to come up with the software that they have.
Boarding NRI right now would be like getting on a train SITTING AT THE STATION. There is nothing to indicate that it is going down.

Clearwater is one indication. The pending S-3 announcement will be the next. PR's list Mom as Director as health care something. Why pay her as a consultant too. Oh, and they blew 4.5 million-dollars to earn $668,000 the last 6 months.

The 10Q indicates these losses were due to employee expenses (e.g., Vail) and certain professional fees (e.g., consultants). This my boy, is how you strip a company from the inside.

The part I like best, is when they say, "There is a significant likelihood that additional funding will not be available with terms acceptable to the Company"; 10-Q, p. 12.

Believe IT! 'Cuz You have been fore warned.

BTW, We're you crying about NRID not getting of $1.00 a few days back?

dan, don't understand your last sentence. Wasn't crying about anything. R&D often takes a long time to get to the bottom line.
