I agree with you. Also, I think that people are using silver much like they use gold as a hedge against inflation and/or the decline of the dollar.

And this might be another indication of what's to come:

"During January 2011, the United States Mint recorded their highest ever monthly sales of the American Silver Eagle. The total sales of 6,422,000 of the one ounce silver bullion coins broke the previous record set in November of last year by more than 2 million ounces.

(snip)

During the month, the US Mint also sold 133,500 ounces worth of gold bullion through the American Gold Eagle offerings. The majority of sales were derived from the one-ounce size, with minor amounts of fractional weight coins also sold. This exceeds the total gold bullion sales of 85,000 achieved during the year ago period. However, this month’s total remains far from the monthly record of 692,000 ounces reached in October 1986 when the coins were first offered to the public.

Even one of ben's own partners, QUIT. Lot's of internal conflict within the US gov't and within the fed. Fed official Kevin Warsh resigns

Annalyn Censky, staff reporter, On Thursday February 10, 2011, 11:45 am EST
Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh is stepping down from the central bank's board.

Considered one of the most hawkish members of the Fed because he's vigilant about inflation risks, Warsh has served on the Fed's board since 2006.

"I am honored to have served at a time of great consequence," Warsh wrote in his letter delivered to President Obama on Thursday.

"I deeply appreciate his insights and wise counsel and, most especially, his fortitude and friendship during the difficult days, nights, and weekends of the crisis." Federal Reserve Board Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said in an official statement.

It is unclear why Warsh resigned. He will officially leave his post at the end of March; his term was scheduled to expire in 2018.

Warsh's resignation creates a second vacancy on the seven-member Fed board in Washington

Investors Starting to Believe That Inflation Threat is Real

I've believed this for over a year and own IPE (a TIPS protection against inflation) but it's in the tank and has been for weeks. Howzabout that?

Sorry...I don't know, but I believe that silver will be much higher by December, so purchased the Eagles that I wanted for gifts in January.

For families that have everything, they make nice gifts. They are beautiful and have intrinsic value. Of course, gold coins would be better for all you rich folks. :)
