KIT digital Announces Record Preliminary Q4 and Full Year 2011 Results, Updates Guidance for 2012

finance.yahoo.com

KIT digital's preliminary Q4 and full year 2011 results are summarized as follows:

Revenue of $70 million for the fourth quarter of 2011 represents a sequential increase of 12% from the previous quarter and an increase of 82% from the fourth quarter of 2010. Revenue for the full year of 2011 is expected to be approximately $215 million, up 102% from 2010.

Non-GAAP operating income of $16.4 million for the fourth quarter of 2011 represents a sequential increase of 15% from the previous quarter and an increase of 145% from the fourth quarter of 2010. Non-GAAP operating income for the full year of 2011 is expected to be approximately $47.3 million, up 158% from 2010.

KIT digital's 2011 revenue growth was primarily driven by the continued expansion of the company's premium, multi-source to multi-screen content management platform deployments, including new customer wins in Q4 and additional utilization from AT&T, BSkyB, Liberty Global, The Walt Disney Company, and others. The company has been deploying resources to support these and other customer engagements. While the increased deployment demands in the fourth quarter put incremental pressure on operating margins, management believes these commitments will lead to higher margin revenues over time, as client deployments become more fully implemented and greater leverage is realized from ongoing software platform fees.

Fusion-IO Jumps 7%: Morgan Stanley Restarts at Buy
blogs.barrons.com

Morgan Stanley’s Katy Huberty reinstated coverage of the stock with an Overweight rating, writing that its overall market for “enterprise flash [storage equipment]” could rise from $2 billion at present to $20 billion “over time.”

Fusion’s key advantage is software, she writes, and competitors’ wares lack “full integration with data center ecosystems.”

Huberty likes the acquisition of ioTurbine, which Fusion bought last summer, as its software for caching data in virtual machines will get the company into “large opportunities in virtualized environments.”

“Over half of FIO’s customers are using its products for persistent storage in scale-out environments,” observes Huberty, “which demonstrates the trust and deep customer relationships FIO built over the last several years.”

Augme Technologies Expects to Report Record Fourth Quarter Revenue of Approximately $5.1 Million
finance.yahoo.com

Total Backlog Reached Approximately $15.6 Million at Fiscal Year-End; Fiscal 2012 Revenue Totals Approximately $12.0 Million

...expects to report revenue of approximately $5.1 million for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2012 ended February 29, 2012, based on a preliminary review of results. This represents a sequential increase of approximately 15% relative to revenue of $4.43 million in the third quarter ended November 30, 2011.

Revenue for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2011 ended February 28, 2011 did not include results for Hipcricket, Inc. which Augme acquired on August 25, 2011. For that period, the Company reported revenue of $0.96 million.

Total backlog, or the dollar value of signed contracts, was approximately $15.6 million at February 29, 2012 compared to $13.1 million at November 30, 2011, the end of the third fiscal quarter, representing a 19% increase.

New order bookings, or the dollar value of contracts signed during the quarter, totaled approximately $6.5 million for the fourth quarter compared to $5.3 million for the third quarter ended November 30, 2011. New bookings from existing customers accounted for 67% of total new order bookings during the fourth quarter and 33% resulted from new order bookings from new customers.

"Adoption of Augme's Hipcricket brand continued in the fourth quarter. Our focus on adding new customers while increasing revenue per customer through deeper penetration of existing customers' brand portfolios produced a $1.2 million, or 23%, increase in new order bookings to approximately $6.5 million for the fourth quarter," said Paul Arena, Chief Executive Officer of Augme Technologies, Inc. "While new order bookings continue to increase, some of the contracts shifted towards a longer duration. That shift has pushed out the timing of revenue recognition and as a result, we recognized less revenue than we had expected for fiscal 2012. With our backlog now totaling approximately $15.6 million and the mobile marketing and advertising industry on a rapid growth trajectory, we are continuing to scale our business."
