thanks, ogi - I have never felt so bullish on a company's properties and management as I am now with EVG. DAMN, wish I had more "house money" to play with, but got pounded last year.

Trying to be sensible, but I think this is better than ARU when you combine all the elements of properties, management and political risk.

Cheers!

Yes to all you've said however I always wondered about the CA's.
Why would Newmont (or any other CA participant for that matter) do a CA? Whats in it for them. It sounds like they would have to make a buyout offer on the whole shebang in order to participate or realize any gain from a CA.

I'm sure someone here knows the definitive answer to that.

Stubbornguy, you have been a welcome addition to our threads.
People are trying to tell you that VSE stocks ,in particular, are venomous and they are right. Profits are to be taken because the game is set up to take you.

The fascinating part is determining for yourself, having your own conviction, booking profits all the while patiently seeking the greatest profit of all,the discovery of the rare beasts that are real, and even then others interfere with their own machinations and market moving powers, it is science, financial alchemy and artistry. One must develop one's own arsenal of weapons to identify friend or foe , both can produce profits. Only the finest can deliver the massive homerun.

I have been at it for 14 years, a rookie still, near complete bust twice now from dizzying heights, but I continue to learn and becoming more sure of my own analysis rather than that of others. Experience is irreplaceable but I would say there is much to learn here, I have many to be Thankful for on SI and I would say a good newsletter like the Hard Rock Analyst is cheap tuition in the end

Much has yet to be determined but I agree that if Rattlesnake proves to be what the signs say it could be, then yes it could indeed be bigger and better than ARU, that is both in terms of ultimate size and market evaluation. The immediate advantage being locale. Add a Nevada Carlin deposit and it is nearly bizarre!! :)

I was wiped last year and bottomed in March 09 my PF down by 85% from its peak in Oct 07. Despair was knocking at my door. As of today I am up 300% from the bottom in March and life is less miserable despite the fact I am still busted compared to a year or more ago. We will prevail!!!!!

Not sure I have the definitive answer to that. Nothing in a CA
prevents a bid as far as I know, it may prevent the accumulation of stock beforehand. It gives the interested major full access to all data being generated and site access I would say. They can input full data into their programs and model the deposit themselves. Others will do that from what is in the public domain and remain free to accumulate stock etc.

Love to hear from others on standard C.A. situations.

Perfect agreement.. .. Just not most things :O) Similarly my kids know that sometimes.. 'JUST DO IT' no time for reasons.. JUST DO IT.. Not often.. so yes sometimes things are binary and need to be :O)

It occurs to me that a company looking for a JV partner would have to do a CA with a potential because the potential partner would want to see if they were even interested in going in. I'm not suggesting EVG is doing this with Newmont. However, a couple of possibilities, they want Newmonts huge resources (computing, analysis, experience and modelling powers etc etc) or Newmont has land in the area (eg: Carlin) and it would be helpful to each other to compare geological data. All speculation on my part.

Well I think you are a bit ahead of yourself in that I am concerned with determining assays first, thus identifying a deposit. Dewatering and air conditioning a mine are issues for whoever takes EVG over IMO. Lots of mines running deep successfully in Nevada is there not?

With 100 mil ozs discovered to date in the Carlin trend if EVG has found another, at this stage that can only be positive.

Ogi
