"Why smoke at all, when the same active drug/substance can be had in a pill? Just food for thought."

It can't be had in a pill.

THC is available. CBD is not. CBD is MUCH more important than is THC.

Simply put .. Marinol (synthetic THC) does not work.

I've been helping testing facilities to become active in Michigan.

I have a MUCH better idea of exactly what is in the marijuana patients use here than do most people.

And the people that run the testing labs, when they talk to the lawmakers, they tell the law makers I know my stuff.

The testing people tell the lawmakers I know my stuff.

I'm one of the most well respected members of the mmj community in Michigan.

Folks call me peanutbutter.

"What do you consider an "opiate?" "

Substances that are derived from the opium poppy. Those substances that interact with the opiate receptors within the human body.

Most of those will be similar to morphine in structure. There are also opiate substances that have functional chains or groups off a main body. These functional groups interact with these receptors. So the entire molecule isn't a opiate, but the side group makes it become so.

So the simple answer .. those compounds that interact with human opiate receptors.

That is just a simple fact, related to several different reasons:

1) "It's only pot"

2) Easier availability

3) Less Expensive

4) Overall exposure is greater

5) Too many refuse to heed the warning it can lead to harder drugs

You're 100% correct. Maybe that's why he can't acknowledge it! LOL

Think what they might have accomplished if they hadn't been thusly 'enlightened'!

Are you trying to convince me. or yourself?

Seriously .... according to rat studies .....

everything in our environment causes cancer.

We can always point to a case here and there that just defies all logic, disproves all research, goes completely against the grain in every way ... but that doesn't merit any statistical significance.

Actually I have a serious question. Are your questions just all over the spectrum, or is it just that I am too slow to follow you? I can't seem to follow your train of thought on most of this stuff. Maybe I need 'enlightening'! LOL

As far as self reporting? ---- addicts lie their ass off to tell you what they think you want to hear .... don't they?

But it must! It is prescribed every day!

The placebo effect couldn't be that strong, could it?
