Yes, true.


My point was that fats carry and retain toxins - and higher up the food chain, you'll get a higher concentration of toxins in the fat.

So plant fats are better in that regard as compared to animal fats - not taking into account consideration of saturated/unsaturated fats.

Butyrate was brought up in a recent post of mine but it was only meant to be offered as a counter intuitive and somewhat smart alec response to eating a lot of veggies and fiber.

In other words as someone else here said, wouldn't it be amusing if people trying to avoid fat are still getting it by eating fiber and veggies digested into butyrate?

I'm sorry if my lame attempt at bringing out any vegan lurkers here was misunderstood. ;-)

My wife had some calcium pills that had expired and her dr said they were no longer good. Daym things will still be the same mineral until the Sun turns into a black hole.

My attitude is "eat an lot of meat and dairy, and what ever veggies you want." I have been saying here for years now that there is nothing you can eat that you can't find people who don't want you to eat it.

What I despise is when I am ordered to eat a certain menu as being "good for me." The truth is "nobody knows."

I understand your point but I'm not so sure it's such a straight line when you draw your continuum across both plant and animal kingdoms. A plant recently sprayed with something could be more toxic than an animal with several degrees of separation from that toxin.

The calcium will be the same but there is some risk wrt the binders and other additives. They could be rancid or moldy or whatever. Not much of a risk, but probably too much for anyone's legal department.

What the the consequences of overdosing with Vit. D.

I find it takes away my post nasal drip and does other beneficial things for me so I take a lot. I am having a blood test this month some time. I shall have the level checked. What is safe ?
