My own use of PYH is currently as an investment component in my retirement account.

(Note that I reduced my overall position in late 2007.)

I started off with PowerShares' PIV fund, but like the industry rotation and purer "timeliness" aspect of PYH. It is more of a momentum play than PIV.

Best regards, Tom

Hi anbar, Re: PYH recent performance.............

It's down about 17% from its all time high of this last Fall.

I made my first addition to the holding this AM when my good 'til cancelled order tripped:

It's had good upside performance and this gives it a chance to do so again.

Best regards, Tom

Hi anbar, Re: Percent of Retirement account...............

PYH represents about 11% of the total value. There's 10 components in it and this is one of the "growth" pieces of the pie. Roughly the "income" side represents about 52% overall but only because I've been waiting to rebalance that part. "Growth" represents about 40% overall and there's currently about 7% in money market funds (historically very low for me).

Here's the whole package:

Hi A, Re: Retirement account.............

Here's what the allocation looks like at this time:

It's built entirely out of ETFs, is global in its coverage, and has both income and growth components included. There's more CHY in there than planned, but I already owned it and didn't get enough of it sold back when I reallocated in November. Eventually it will be dropped back down to around 10-12%.

Best regards, Tom

PYH has started to recover from the recent downward slide it took (along with the rest of the market place.

There's still some cash left for this component should prices fall back below recent lows. Next buy occurs when the price/share drops to below $24.93.

It's beginning to appear that PYH is in a range from the mid $20s to the low $30s. The history doesn't go back very far, so we'll have to see if this is a repeating range or if PYH's Value Line base follows more closely to their history relative to Timeliness.

This personal history with PYH is out of date, but it shows where I was accumulating relative to the price movement. I think it will be a happy moment when the price/share triggers it's first sale to recover cash.

Best regards, Tom
