Jessica had it going away, and then they forced that rotten last song on her. Even the Judges thought it stunk. Followed by giving Phillip the best song he has ever done.

So I guess Phillip wins. Based on that last song, if they can come up with more "Simon" material like that, he might have a major career.

It makes you think the show's rigged. They're not just going for ratings, they're looking for the next Carrie who can sell millions of tunes for them - which of the kids has the most appeal to those who download and pay for the iTunes. Maybe that's Philip. I guess I've officially entered my old fartitude because I don't get the appeal and I still don't think he has all that great a voice.

If the show was rigged, he would not have done as well. IMO, the most marketable was Joshua.

Great ending to DWTS. It was a shocker of an ending, although all three were great. Donald deserved it after his country free style last night.

Shows the power of the NFL fans who vote. William being third was what really surprised me.

Donald has watched this show from the start and has always wanted to be on it. Being told by Len that he was the best of all the NFL stars meant as much in bragging rights to him as the Mirror Ball.

I was completely caught by surprise. I thought either Katherine or William would have won. I hadn't even considered Donald. I thought he was okay but I thought the other two had much more going for them. And I was completely surprised that William came in third - first or second but not third. Nice shot of his son turning to his mom to hide his face.

I have so consistently not picked any winners on any of the shows - even the acapella show - that it's a good reason for me to stay away from the horse track or betting parlors. ;) Although I did really like Melanie Amaro, but I never hear anything about her - except for the Super Bowl ad she did with Elton John.

What makes it tough is that it's not a" best singer or dancer" It's "most popular." We have to factor in the following that the contestants come in with. That NFL stamp is an enormous help, plus the fact that they are very athletic. I don't find Driver a likeable person. The violence is right beneath the skin. Katherine was "instant like" for me. By the end of the season, after hearing William's back story, I really like the guy.

I think the main reason I like the show is watching the obvious transformation in the contestants. All you have to do is to look at the audience. It's solid ex-dancers. Sure, a lot of the chat is scripted. But the sincerity of how they feel comes through. It's as if they all went though basic training together.

I see this all the time in my social scene. These 20-somethings show up, wanting to learn to dance. They are usually shy and awkward. Six months later they confident and relaxed. This is especially true with the guys. They go from social misfits to almost cocky "smoothies," with the girls hanging on them.

I tell this over and over to guys that ask me about learning, but most just don't believe me or they are unwilling to spend the time to find out.

A buddy of mine in Utah always has the most amazing women on his arm. He goes to salsa clubs, the dog. :)

It's not fartitude. It's farthood. I'm a member, too, but I can still appreciate talented cuties like Haley Reinhart and Philip Phillips. Particularly Haley. Philip's talent isn't his voice... It's his musicality and his adorable personality, which allows him to sell his performances to an audience. I'm just not sure how well that will translate to the radio. Jessica's big voice otoh, will do well on the radio, but she's a precocious kid, still wears a training bra, and hasn't developed a personality yet. IMHO she wasn't quite ready for prime time.
