I'm not sure why this is good for equities. Its not QEII. Its QEI continued. Can't print more than whats currently on the balance sheet. What am I missing here? TIA Peace

The roll. If MBS on Fed balance sheet are not rolled, then
most of the printing of QEI is sterilized as they mature.
If MBS are rolled into treasuries, then QEI is
forever, and quasi-temporary balance sheet expansion becomes
permanent. Most of us here never questioned it will be, but
it might be a surprise for the markets -g-

I think it is not good for T-bonds either, or, rather. The long end suffers. Bond "investors" heard nothing new today.

You may be right, but the sellers are no small fish either. They brought it down 3/4 of a point and the hour is not over. As I said to the other, nothing new we heard today and of the move most if not all was priced in.
