QCOM should reap rewards from expanding the 3G network outside the major cities. I find it frustrating when staying at friends and family that live outside the city where there is high speed connection availabel and my VZ EV DO wireless card only gets 1X download speed. The business case to add EV DO or HSDPA cards to existing base stations can easily be justified over running fiber to individual homes. Hot spots are great for general surfing the web and email, but the lack of security keeps me from doing anything personal when connected.

Golf...You got it right on QCOM...As of now QCOM is trading at $43.61 and the AUG 45's (AAQHI) are at 1.35/1.45...This makes for a decent return with or without a call out.

RIMM: Interesting DIM covered call write strategy proposed by Eric Bolling on CNBC just now.

With RIMM at 213.50 he suggests selling August 200 call at current price 20.50 (assuming you are long the stock) to get protection down to 193 while getting 7 points premium.

For those seeking fairly liquid China ETF options with 1 point strike spreads, I suggest considering PGJ and FXI. FXI '09 and '10 leaps have 10 point strike intervals.

Emerging market investor Jim Rogers recently pulled his bets on all emerging markets except for China, in favor of agricultural commodities.

Hey Bridge.... I own some RDC that is covered at the 42.5 strike...For the rest of the summer I would reconsider all the oil stocks as good covered call/put situations.

BJS and HAL are two that have not rallied with the rest of the group and should be considered good candidates.
