I haven't read it, but I put it on my reading list.

I'm pretty much in the boat with you. I've never used a broker other than to execute my trade decisions, but that doesn't mean I'm not getting screwed by "the man". Let's face it, they own the playground and they make to rules. I tend to believe they make the rules to benefit themselves and not me.

Blessings,
Byron

There is something to what you say. Let me know, if you would, how applicable you think the book is to our present situation after you've digested it.

Thanks.

Since I own both KO and PEP, as well as WM, I'm comfortable with the downgrades. No selling here! I'll simply wait for the next round of dividends and reinvest them.

WM also downgraded. If it drops another point I'll add to my position. Honestly , WM has some margin contraction issues but I'm hoping that the contraction is only temporary.

I've done a lot of research into WM and I am impressed with their long term plans, such as converting their fleet to ng powered vehicles (should reduce opex considerably since ng is near all-time low prices and going lower), etc... trash collection and "disposal" is another type of utility -- our city contracts with WM and bills us on same bill as water and sewer... as long as the company keeps the divvy growing and is viable long term, I don't care what the share price wiggles do... in fact, I kinda like getting the divvies reinvested cheaper as I'll end up with more shares in the long haul.

Best,
Jim

"Perhaps the sell rating was done so they could get a few shares cheaper for their best clients???"

Sad perhaps, but usually my first thought.
