It would have been far more cost effective and much more humane to have enlisted a few hundred assassins to erase all traces of the Project for the New American Century when it first appeared.

So, I guess we all have learned something here, the only question is what to do next time ;-)

Don't vote for chickenhawk clowns who will turn naive delusions into real expensive, bloody wars....

I visited the $1.5 billion dollar, Mormon-developed City Creek Center Mall today for the first time, just to check it out. It's been raining all day here, and I haven't been down to see it. So, what's the difference between a normal mall and a Mormon mall?

1. There's no Victoria's Secret as there was in one of the two the private malls it replaced. Heck, I'll bet Victoria would have happily developed some SEXY "magic underwear" just for the Mormons!

2. Although I looked, there's no coffee shop! That would have been my only purchase.

3. There is a bookstore, but it has no porn or even racy magazines. Plenty of LDS literature though.

4. There are some food places and a food court, but not one bar.

5. From the center of the plaza just outside the enclosed food court, if you look north you see the Mormon Temple, with the inscription, "The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints" just across the street. So, across from their religious temple, they have their retail temple!

I'm on record as saying, as soon as I heard the details of that law, that it justified homicide. All you have to do is catch the victim when there are no witnesses, kill him, and claim he attacked you. Dead, it's your word against a ghost and you win under Florida's insane stand your ground law.

Rache Maddow's book Drift came out at #1. That is the hope for this country, that she leads the women to save this country form the batshit crazy, and venal, right wing.

>>I'm wondering though if the public in general hasn't had enough of this "throw all the mud we can" approach and see if some of it sticks.<<

I hope so, because people will continue to use attack ads as a primary campaign tactic for as long as they keep working.

>>But the 700,000-square-foot mall has something other projects don't: financial backing from the development arm of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, as the Mormon church is formally known. <<

What kind of church has a "development arm"? Answer: A church that is almost as much a business as it is a religious institution; The C of JC of LDS.
