Poor Meg's got her hands full. I haven't looked in lately Bob. I do know they paid handsomely for their latest cloud acquisition. It doesn't look to bad for trying to catch a bottom.

Agreed on Rimm and in any event it get's old grabbing that knife game. just added a trading position to nvda on other thread- I like your idea makes sense. though plenty of powder to make this longer term as well. I think street is hung up on short term limits due to TMSC not having enough output for the liks of Qualcomm and nvidia but unlike them/h fundies I am not tied to near term must haves.

ps as to year end wash sales... sadly I hardly care for me given a rather, uh, sizable s-t cap loss carry foward from my young and dumb days. wait I said dumb twice.

One way you can look at that as a positive. If you still have carry forwards available. You can shelter all your realized gains to the extent of your carry forward.<g>

IMO it's good to keep your portfolio up to date with market conditions by year end, if your a long player.

Yez my running gag with those in the know ( 3k carry forward of loss allowed against ord income as you knew) is that I could live to be Methuselah and would not use it all that way . not literally but I did fast research to find if I croak even though I file joint return it appears spouse losses the caryy foward. So I really do need to start applying some decent realized gains to it!

This week's action is just a reminder that whatever goes up, can come down 10 times as fast. Congrats goes to the bears who have been predicting this type of reaction but have been wrong for the past few months.

I admit to some nibbling again this morning....
