Thanks Charlie. Not what I wanted but I subsequently discovered it was "pilot error" at this end. Back to the charts...

Hi Ken
I show the ES high between 1030 and 1050am was 691.50, then it dropped fairly quickly. You are trading some size in the ES I see. I usually just do between two and four contracts. What kind of profit targets and stop loss are you aiming for on those bigger trades? If I was trading that many contracts, I'd be in and out real quick.

Hi Charlie.. was it on here? I don't recall any new sites posted.

Here's one I check now and then... a little different kind of site, you have to join, in order to see all the stuff. Its free.

stocktwits.com

i think it was on here...i looked at who posted it and it only had one post...perhaps he/she spammed it all over and that's why it is gone....just wondering.

Oh yeah! I did see that. The guy was spamming all over. SI is pretty quick to zap those, fortunately.
We've got some pretty nice Spring weather here, finally. It's harder to stay in front of those charts. But I am not complaining. Sure would be nice to see a rally that lasts longer than 90 minutes.. :)

Charlie, it was on this topic. It was a one time commercial. I thought it was spam, myself. But when I looked at the writer, I saw that he only posted it here. I think SI Admin killed it because it was too commercial.

Ron, as I mentioned to Charlie, the error in reading was on my end. I have a hard time with my vision sometimes and I'm still experimenting with "sizing" my monitor. All is well with my data feed.

I had a fairly dismal last quarter of '08, giving back a large chunk of my trading account. I nearly stopped trading in December, except for a few shots and didn't get back into it until well into January. I had to revisit all that I had done earlier in '08 that seemed to work. Actually, my trades started going in the toilet when I had to switch to the TF. That never did work well for me and I stubbornly stayed with it... at my extreme expense.

I still haven't found the Holy Grail, but my luck has greatly improved with the ES. I get much better fills, in and out, even at market most of the time. Another thing I did was kill that one minute chart I had been trading quite well until the TF came along. I'm now using the 5 minute exclusively. Trading breakouts, mostly, for a point or so. Trades used to last a few seconds but now I'm in for 5 minutes, or so.

I probably could actually live off of these trades, but fortunately, I don't have to. I try to be done by mid morning which is actually noon in NYC. Trading 8 contracts makes just a fractional gain become a nice income. I only glance at the charts after I get one or two quick scalps in the morning. I'm trying to have a life now that the weather is improving and I can get out. Spending less time on SI, too.
