Schiff won't make a d*mn bit of difference

Agreed. And the sad thing is even the people of Conneticut lose as first time people in congress have so little power - sad, but its the way our government works.

That Marcy Kaptur is some thing else isn't she.

I watch Moyers each week but this one was one of the best.

What did you think ?

Leaders can't get elected backed by promises of building up a rainy day fund. Well... it actually does happen at times -- when emerging from a recession. However, boom times come and the fund is looted if there ever was one.

And so long as they remain in denial, they don't have to address sticky issues like e.g. laying off firemen now to pay 90% retirement benefits to retired ones.

"hope for change" is the weapon of the elite to keep the serfs down.

obama crystalized it for the slowest of the slow people in this country.

give them hope as you loot like no tomorrow and abuse the populace and they won't riot.

i saw hannity's interview with michael moore. he commented that *if* obama was just another front man for goldman sachs then a lot of people will be seriously disillusioned with the political process?

*if*? what planet is he on?

but it does tell you how sociopathic obama is and how he lacks any kind of conscience. he's going to drop people from the dizzying heights of his hope and he doesn't care one iota - it got him the job and the power and the money.

that's it. screw all the little people - he hangs with a different crowd now. and they pay better.

It is amazing to me that the people who consider the town hallers stupid and ignoraant are the ones who are really stupid and ignorant.

"...In order to do it cheaply enough, the industry got rid of most of its Tanta-caliber people and replaced them with inexperienced temps, or perhaps with MERS..."

this is an intentional MBA tactic to increase productivity. it results in the destruction of human capital. this loss of experience and knowledge is at the heart of u.s. business failure. productivity gains hide behind crumbling data shields of fraudulent value algorithms.
