I missed his post on Clancy! LOLOL That comment is scary...and I suppose he thinks that Michael Crichton is our foremost genetics expert...

"Tom Clancy is the #1 expert on military affairs in our country...."

And any time you want to talk about your DNC experiences by PM, even piecemeal, let's just do it.

Poet,

Sorry for the 3 1/2 year delay. Unfortunately, timeliness is not one of my virtues.

Message 24202007

Message 24203045

40 years later, still a vivid memory.

Regards,

Glenn

LIAR. The media was corrupted by corporate deregulation allowing mainly rightwing-leaning large conglomerates (especially the far rightwing Rupert Murdoch) to own and control huge pieces of what used to be our press. So instead of journalism based on facts and honest debates, they started turning it into a big tabloid, pro-Bush propaganda machine. And why would they back Bush so much? Because the CEO's of the big corps love to monopolize our information and press.

By the way, most media comgloms aren't that biased, except for Fox which obviously is, and is proud to promote rightwing propaganda.

The problem is, per the Constitution and various laws, the PUBLIC owns the airwaves and the corporations only lease rights to them. Plus monopolies are illegal and so is one-sided propaganda. The Fairness Doctrine needs to come back and rural areas need to be re-opened to various viewpoints. This way, professional liars like Hannity and Limbaugh won't go unchallenged in the heartlanbd they they commit crimes by telling people crapola like that Iraqi oil will pay for the entire war, that war hero democrats are all traitors, and that Bush has been decreed by God to lead us against the infidels.

LIAR. Bushies ignored the pre 9-11 warnings and did nothing. CLinton was actuially very much on the ball against Al Qaida, though not perfect. Bush disbanded Clionton's entire elite crack anti-Al Qaida group and did not replace it with anything. 100% disbanded. WHy? One might want to look at Bush's close ties to the Saudis and the Bin laden family, where the real terrorists actually come from. ALmost none of them came from Iraq or even Iran.

If they had all te primaries vote over from the beginning, the votes for the stranger would be less by 15% of what he got!
Fact is America doesn't want Obama, now that we know who he is. The real deal is a general election. If the combine on a ticket all their negatives combine! If the run their own as a single, they lose again by their own negatives plus real Democrats and Independents go for McCain!

They remember each and everyone of you theatric idiots praising McCain. You can't praise and call BS in the same decade!

I agree.

Kerry-Obama? Why not? Obama's not ready to be president, but VP, sure.

A wise man!

Hold your horses on OBAMA. He needs some testing first. Being the Cool New Thing has its limits, regardless of his obvious communications skills. And it will be interesting to see if Harold Ford wins. If Ford can win, then OBAMA might really have a chance. Though I can see it now, the GOP calling him "Osama".

OBAMA is certainly a good thing for the Dems and the country, but he might be a better VP than a president. I'm just not sure he could carry any swing states, and that is a must.

Right. AS knows that Obama lacks the necessary experience to be President. Most people know that...yet some want to hire him because he delivers a good speech...amazing lack of respect for the duties of the President. There really should be a voters qualification program...

Obama will make a fantastic president. In these disasterous times (thanks to the Bush GOP mostly) he is exactly what we need to CHANGE COURSE and make for a much more honest and productive government. Also, his very election could end Bush's "war on terror" in one fell swoop. That would save us trillions and bring the price of oil back down.
