Funny you should note this. The 'bickering' factor is getting pretty high here too... That's has been a good leading indicator of a bottom... :)

Added some yesterday, for bounce... Don't get these kind of forced sales very often...

Gulp.

I remember comments like this about 1/2 the way into the 2008 crash . Then I think back to the dot bomb crash and a poster who mortgaged his house and used all his cash to load up on a "NO BRAINER " stock that had been trading at over 200 bucks a share and he was loading up at 70 to 80 . The poor guy had to go back to work . He stopped trading because he lost all his play money .
This market has not felt right for the last 4 years . Things have changed .
About the only thing that may work is to figure " Times earnings " into the buy equation . LUN is trading at 10 times earnings , perhaps it is a buy at 7 times earnings and a no brainer at 5 times earnings . I have no idea because I have lost track of what multiple mining stocks may trade at .
That and so damn few of what we invest in are creating cash flow from production .
The "times earnings " is worth discussion here . We need to protect ourselves . The chance of a 4000 pt drop on the dow or TSE is worth calculating into your investment style .

BAM

I remember that.. and he got downright testy with someone that suggested it was a bad idea...

Yep . I thought he was making a poor decision , one of the reasons was the stock was trading at 256 times earnings and I was told by some old timers that once a stock was over 15 - 17 times earnings they would sell .
The rule does not work with our specky miners but it may be time to figure out some sort of guides that may work with our miners .
Could it be that the lack of moves in our miners is that they were leading the commodities price drop ?
That is a nasty thought .
