ABC fail! GCB (Good Christian Bitches) cancelled! So much failure from the pink slime media, so little time. GCB or (Good Christian Bitches) debuted on ABC’s propaganda network in March. As of now, early May, it’s already cancelled. What an epic failure ABC is. I guess their attack on Christianity couldn’t pull in the ratings. Not enough left wing atheist loons would watch I guess.

GCB WAS based on Kim Gatlin’s 2008 book “Good Christian Bitches.”

Evangelicals: On Gay Marriage, Don't Go Softly

Monday, May 14, 2012, 5:00 AM
Matthew Schmitz

Christianity Today asks three contributors whether Christians should shut down their social service programs when the state commands them to act against Christian belief. In line with my advice in response to Obama’s gay marriage announcement, Ryan T. Anderson offers a stirring “no”:

Christians should not stop their adoption and foster-care programs, but neither should they comply with laws that would force them to place children with same-sex couples. Christians should continue operating their charitable organizations according to their principles, and they should continue serving the least among us until the state coercively shuts them down.

But why should Christians take a stand here? It is not as though authorities won’t allow us to celebrate the sacraments:

When Jesus commanded us to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, heal the sick, and care for the widow and orphan, he meant it. He meant it when he said we should love our neighbor, but he didn’t mean that we love them according to secularist liberal values or the dictates of the state. We should love them as Christ loves them. [ . . . ]

The truth of the matter is that long before the state of Massachusetts or Illinois existed, long before the United States existed, Christ’s church was ministering to the poor. Christians should continue to stand on biblical principles in the face of laws that unjustly usurp the authority of voluntary charities and grant government power to regulate their activity even when they cause no harm.

This is an usurpation of the authority and privileges of the Church, which are prior to those of the state. Of course, Christians must practice (to borrow a phrase) charity in truth. We cannot put our desire to conform to the prevailing culture over the real needs of brothers and sisters. It is better by far to be kind than to seem nice:

Two people of the same sex are not the equivalent of a married mother and father. Any law that says that they are gets the family wrong. This does a great disservice to children, and the church should oppose this injustice to children.

Now that is social justice. Contrast this to the response to the Christianity Today symposium by Paul Shrier, “a professor of practical theology at Azusa Pacific University” and, we find, a practitioner of situation ethics. Shrier first dissembles about the data showing problems with same-sex parenting, ignoring, among other issues, that same-sex unions are much more unstable than opposite-sex ones, with one major study showing that 82 percent of men in relationships with men had sex with someone other than their main parter as opposed to 26 percent of men in relationships with women. He then scoots around the Christian teaching on marriage, telling his reader to just “pray and see what God has to say about your individual situation.”

It pains me to see Evangelicals turn away from their commitment to biblical truth. It was my introduction to Christ in the Evangelical community that later allowed me to receive him in the Eucharist in the fullness of faith as a Catholic. Yet even as some try to relaunch the liberal Protestant project from within Evangelicalism, I take hope in people like Lynn Marie Kohm whose response to the same symposium suggests that few Evangelical will be inclined to go down Shrier’s dead-end path.

All loyal citizens should take a stand because the government does not have the right to impose humanist beliefs on people.

The argument is that since humanism “isn’t a religion” (unlike the recognized religion Unitarian Universalism, which happens to have beliefs identical to humanism), that somehow it’s okay for the government to impose its beliefs and views on the populace, and it supposedly does not count as imposing a religion on people.

But whether the humanists who want their beliefs counted as a religion win or lose their debate, it remains true that humanism is incompatible with most religions – maybe every other religion? – when it comes to its teachings on sexuality, family, and the sacred bonds that hold social units together, so there is no way to force humanist teachings on the populace without also in effect banning all teachings that contradict humanist articles of faith.

Chris Matthews Bombs on 'Jeopardy!' After Repeatedly Mocking Palin for How She'd Do

By Noel Sheppard | May 15, 2012
newsbusters.org

On at least four occasions, MSNBC's Chris Matthews mocked Sarah Palin for how he felt she'd do if she were ever on the hit television game show Jeopardy!.

In a delicious example of instant karma, the self-proclaimed brainiac got his chance to show America how smart he was in a special "Power Players" version of the show Monday, but came up quite short finishing dead last with the paltry sum of only $2,300 (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

For those that missed it, Matthews was matched up against CNN's Lizzie O'Leary and former Obama White House press secretary Robert Gibbs.

Quite comically, the MSNBC anchor's first gaffe came when he couldn't even correctly request an answer to a question.

"Let's go back to, what is 'Crossword Clues E?' I mean, I'm sorry, let's go $200 for the category 'Crossword Clues E.'"

Matthews appeared to have his Joe Biden thinking cap on.

Host Alex Trebek finally read the answer, "At ____, soldier! Four letters."

"At ease, soldier," Matthews responded. "What is 'At ease, soldier?'"

Although the correct response was "Ease," host Trebek graciously accepted Matthews' offering.

A bit later, the answer to another question was, "Full name of the U2 pilot shot down over the Soviet Union in 1960."

Matthews responded, "Who is Gary Powers?"

Trebek prompted, "We need the full name."

Again channeling Biden, Matthews actually just repeated the same thing saying, "Who is Gary Powers?"

Trebek said, "No," and the audience burst out laughing. The full name of course was Francis Gary Powers.

And that's when things really got ugly for the arrogant Matthews.

With the category "Law and Order," the answer was, "A U.S.D.C is one of these, charged with the jurisdiction of a specific region."

Matthews responded, "What is a U.S. attorney?"

And this guy has the nerve to ridicule anyone. Where do you find "attorney" in the acronym "U.S.D.C.?"

Obviously, the correct response was district court.

Then, in the same category, another answer was, "In 1986, the Supreme Court ruled that the 'hostile environment' type of this can be sex discrimination."

Matthews responded, "What is a hostile workplace?" This brainiac thinks the same word can be in both the answer AND the question.

Of course, the correct response was sexual harassment.

And then the fun really began in the category "6-Letter World Capitals" with the answer, "St. Basil's Cathedral is there."

Readers are once again reminded the category was "6-Letter World Capitals."

Almost astonishingly, the pompous and holier-than-thou Matthews responded, "What is Istanbul?"

The correct response - containing six letters and not eight! - was Moscow.

As such, when Double Jeopardy! ended, Matthews had a whopping $4,600, almost $10,000 behind O'Leary and over $8,000 less than Gibbs.

As they all missed a very tough Final Jeopardy! question, the game concluded with Gibbs having $5,600, O'Leary $4,200, and Matthews pulling up the rear at only $2,300.

This from a man who on October 2, 2008, shortly before that evening's Vice Presidential debate, said of Palin:

"Is this [vice presidential debate] about her brain power?... Do you think cute will beat brains?...Do you think she’d do better on the questions on Jeopardy! or the interview they do during a half-time?...My suspicion is that she has the same lack of intellectual curiosity that the President of the United States has right now and that is scary!"

Then on January 12, 2010:

They find these empty vessels who know nothing about the world! Nothing about foreign policy! Who immediately begin to spout the neo-con line. I read her book — it’s full of that crap....It’s unbelievable how little this woman knows!...Don’t put her on Jeopardy!

And again on November 2, 2010:

“Senator, do you think Sarah Palin is qualified to be President of the United States?...If she were on Jeopardy! right now and the topic was national government, American government generally defined, would she look like an imbecile, or would she look okay? Does she know anything?"

And finally on January 19, 2011:

“I’d like to see her on just a couple of episodes of Celebrity Jeopardy! or It’s Academic Mac McGarry to just see if she knows anything.”

Well, Chris, America just saw you on Jeopardy!, and you came in last with only $2,300 missing what most viewers likely thought were pretty easy questions.

What's that they say about people in glass houses?

Here are some more recent flubs by Matthews with most occurring on his very own program:

Gay Preezy of the United Steezy Makes History

When I write that President Obama has “made history,” I’m not referring to this obvious historic first or even the that that Obama is the first president to ever to run up the debt over $5 trillion on his watch. Those things are indeed historic, but the history that’s being made here is in the very literal sense:

The Heritage Foundation’s Rory Cooper tweeted that Obama had casually dropped his own name into Ronald Reagan’s official biography on www.whitehouse.gov, claiming credit for taking up the mantle of Reagan’s tax reform advocacy with his “Buffett Rule” gimmick. My first thought was, he must be joking. But he wasn’t — it turns out Obama has added bullet points bragging about his own accomplishments to the biographical sketches of every single U.S. president since Calvin Coolidge (except, for some reason, Gerald Ford).

Check it out for yourself on the “learn more about each president” page at WhiteHouse.gov. Here’s one example from the Calvin Coolidge page:

On Feb. 22, 1924 Calvin Coolidge became the first president to make a public radio address to the American people. President Coolidge later helped create the Federal Radio Commission, which has now evolved to become the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). President Obama became the first president to hold virtual gatherings and town halls using Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, etc.

The Twitterverse finds this extremely mock-worthy, and rightly so.

In the Truman bio, the administration’s historians forgot to mention Obama’s role in the liberation of the Philippines during World War II, but I’m sure they’ll get around to it:

.........

  • In a 1946 letter to the National Urban League, President Truman wrote that the government has “an obligation to see that the civil rights of every citizen are fully and equally protected.” He ended racial segregation in civil service and the armed forces in 1948. Today the Obama administration continues to strive toward upholding the civil rights of its citizens, repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, allowing people of all sexual orientations to serve openly in our armed forces.
  • President Lyndon Johnson signed Medicare signed (sic) into law in 1965—providing millions of elderly healthcare stability. President Obama’s historic health care reform law, the Affordable Care Act, strengthens Medicare, offers eligible seniors a range of preventive services with no cost-sharing, and provides discounts on drugs when in the coverage gap known as the “donut hole.”

The Real Dan Savage: Proudly Perverse

Though this guy is entitled to his opinion so are the rest of us. And my opinion is someone who has written these words ....

“In my opinion, child molestation fantasies do not make you an evil person" .... “But hey, you’re consenting adults. If you wanna bone ma, and she wants to bone you, well, more power to you.” ..... “Fuck the sanctity of marriage, what you’re really getting is a heap of social and financial benefits. Marriage is about rights, not monogamy.”

.... shouldn't be endorsed by the White House and kids shouldn't be exposed to him.

By Lauren Thompson | May 15, 2012 | 11:04

Americans tempted to turn to Dan Savage’s Seattle sex-advice column shouldn’t waste time. No matter what the question or how perverted the urge, Savage will – using the crudest possible language leavened with rabid attacks on Christians, Catholics and traditional lifestyles – advise you to go ahead and indulge.

Savage’s book, “Savage Love,” collects his column of the same name. On page after page the author and gay rights advocate scoffed at monogamy and recommended and condoned a range of aberrant sexual activities. Savage enthused about bondage, shrugged at child molestation fantasies and incest, and even encouraged a reader to indulge in his fantasy to lie in an empty tub and have a woman defecate on him.

Even the introduction to “Savage Love” was riddled with filth. “Mostly I give advice to breeders – eating pussy for boys, sucking dick for girls, buttfucking for everybody – which is an odd job considering I’m one of those boys who doesn’t sleep with girls,” Savage wrote.

The word breeder is an offensive term for heterosexuals, and Savage often tells his readers so. “Once upon a time, ‘breeder’ was an insult – our little derogatory term for you heterosexuals. We whispered ‘breeder’ behind your breeder-backs, and some people are going to call you breeder whether you like it or not,” Savage said. The word breeder is found 80 times throughout the book – a particular irony coming from the most high-profile anti-bullying advocate in the nation.

But to Savage, bullying gays is about the only thing that’s out of bounds. “In my opinion, child molestation fantasies do not make you an evil person,” Savage replied to a reader’s inquiry.

To another, he condoned incest between a mother and son, saying, “But hey, you’re consenting adults. If you wanna bone ma, and she wants to bone you, well, more power to you.”

Long before the “50 Shades of Grey” became a popular sensation, Savage hyped BDSM. An entire section in “Savage Love” was dedicated to “Kink.”

“People once thought bondage to be an unspeakable perversion, and anyone interested in bondage was sick. These days, outside my immediate family, it’s hard to find someone who hasn’t done bondage or doesn’t want to give it a try!” Savage wrote.

Savage’s perversion isn’t confined to sex acts. He regularly goaded readers to have affairs touting “If you’re going to cheat, then cheat honest,” and responded “Fuck the sanctity of marriage, what you’re really getting is a heap of social and financial benefits. Marriage is about rights, not monogamy.”

He continued that “Only fools would build marriages with monogamy as their foundation (and only a foolish society would demand such a behavior.)”

His answer to homosexuality was a clear mockery of traditional values. “Men are not straight because they think being gay is “morally wrong,” they’re gay cuz they wanna, gotta, fuck women. What your boyfriend, as a Catholic, was taught to believe about homosexuality (no! no!) is a conflict with what his dick is telling him (yes! yes!)."

Drugs and prostitution aren’t off-limits topics for Savage either. “Drugs, alcohol and sex don’t mix? Really? Get out much? Not all substance abuse is abuse,” he wrote. Elsewhere Savage stated that “The human desire for psychoactive drugs is never going away – the war on drugs, however, can and should go away.”

Prostitution? “Every problem moralists and virtuecrats cite as an argument for keeping prostitution illegal – violence, disease, child prostitution – is a problem that is either created or made worse by keeping prostitution illegal,” he said.

This is the man who is able to reach millions of children via his “It Gets Better” bullying campaign. Although Savage is a zealous bully himself, he is endorsed by President Obama and the White House, and has said, chillingly, that he will spread his message to children whether their parents want him to or not. Instead of hailing Dan Savage as an anti-bullying hero, the world need only read a sentence from any of his five books to see how foul the real Dan Savage is.

Democrats balk on Walker recall election

communities.washingtontimes.com

PHOENIX, May 16, 2012 — After months of a media frenzy surrounding Republican Gov. Scott Walker and the changes made to the collective bargaining process in Wisconsin, Democrats have balked on the upcoming June 5 recall election.

The effort to recall Walker began last November, when United Wisconsin in coalition with the Democratic party began collecting signatures to initiate a recall election in Summer 2012.

Within 60 days of launching its signature drive, United Wisconsin had already collected well over one million pledges to recall Walker. At the end of March, an official recall election was confirmed, and Democratic and Republican primaries were set to take place in May.

Controversy struck the recall efforts when 29 Wisconsin circuit court judges signed recall petitions against Walker. The Wisconsin state Supreme Court issued an advisory opinion in 2001 stating that while judges are allowed to sign petitions to help support candidates getting on the ballot, they cannot endorse specific candidates.

Landmark Legal Foundation filed a suit requesting that the Wisconsin Judicial Commission properly investigate this misconduct. In April it was announced that the Wisconsin Judicial Commission would investigate the issue, however the specifics of the investigation would never actually meet the public eye.

Despite the judicial controversy, the Democratic and Republican primaries proceeded. Incumbent governor Scott Walker won the Republican primary, with Milwaukee mayor and Democratic nominee for governor in 2010, Tom Barrett, winning the Democratic primary.

Since then, little has been heard about the recall effort that had Democrats in a tizzy in 2011.

The majority of polls show Walker once against beating Barrett, with a recent Public Policy Polling poll showing Walker garnering 50 percent of the vote to Barrett’s 45 percent.

This 5 percent margin was unchanged since PPP last polled Wisconsin voters in April, showing that the May 8 Democratic primary did nothing to help boost Barrett’s chances at beating Walker in June.

However, Barrett’s failure to catch steam might be at the fault of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). In an exclusive report by the Washington Post, top Wisconsin Democrats are furious at the DNC for not helping to fund Barrett’s gubernatorial bid against Walker.

“We are frustrated by the lack of support from the Democratic National Committee and the Democratic Governors Association,” a top Wisconsin Democratic Party official told the Washington Post. “Scott Walker has the full support and backing of the Republican Party and all its tentacles. We are not getting similar support.”

On top of that, the far-left group, MoveON.org, blasted the DNC in an email this week saying “The Democratic National Committee isn't investing in the massive get out the vote effort in Wisconsin to recall Scott Walker....Wisconsin is ground zero for Democrats this summer....the DNC’s lack of support has left a huge hole”.

The MoveOn.org email also urged its followers to contribute five or more to help recall Gov. Walker.

The Wisconsin Democratic Party has reportedly asked the DNC for a lump sum of $500,000 to help recall Walker. While the DNC has vocally supported the recall effort, their financial contributions to Wisconsin tell a different story.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) on the other hand is spending top-dollar to help squash the recall efforts by the Democrats.

It is curious to see as to why the DNC isn’t helping in the efforts to recall Walker. Not only is Wisconsin the battleground for big labor to be squashed, but it is also a key swing-state that Obama could very well lose in November.

Walker is leading in all the polls by at least a five-point margin and the Democrats are looking the other way. Either they have some kind of yet to be unveiled master plan to defeat Walker, or they’ve simply given up so soon.
