KG,

Good luck on the trade. Right now we need to see what Jimmy Claude and the Germans dream up to save their world. A packaged bundle of loan guarantees for all the PIGs, but with no "free" Euros would tank the Dollar. Of course printing USA style in Euroland might wake up the world to reality of fiat. The world seems to forget from time to time, like when the USA bumped the debt ceiling up 1.9 trillion and the dollar rallied.

You can taunt me anyway you want if I'm making money <g>

Gold cannot put two decent days together. Not a confidence builder.

The markets, commodities & gold are all tied together lately. And they are all related to the US dollar. Dollar up, markets down.

Would be nice to see gold break away from these ties once and for all.

Markets: Although Greece will be bailed out, the crisis reveals the weak Euro underpinnings,

Consequently expect Dollar to remain strong vs. Euro and don't trust Gold rally.

Another thought: World central banks, having accumulated billions of Euros as part of their reserves, may disinvest and return to dollars, or say " a plague on both your houses" and turn to Gold.

Not adding here, but this action is interesting.

There is a chance we get an impulse move on gold if the EU "solution" put in a bottom on the Euro.

Germany will lead the bailout, presumably in return for German men being allowed to continue to wear bathing suits that far too small on Grecian beaches.
