Bear Sterns price collapse vastly overdone. Book value around 80. Earnings last quarter quite encouraging. Liquidity problems more a mind game than actual, and deftly handled by the Fed.

I don't know how you can say that when so much of their liabilities were off book and undisclosed. For the Fed to jump into the ring and bail them out so quick tells me that this was not the case. I for one wouldn't be looking to purchase BSC.

Just my opinion.

Timminco (TIM.to) and Mercator (ML.TO) added to S&P/TSX Composite Index

Two of my favorites get brought into the index starting on Monday. Both are trailing the GDX and gold this year, but this news ought to help start narrowing that gap...Timminco for solar and ML.to for copper and Molybdenum...
