I've been following E-Bay ever since my Father told me his broker talked him into buying it at 37 (which pissed me off because my Father is clueless when it comes to tech stocks), then it tanked to 22. I should have bought some myself at that point because it is one of the few internet businesses that is a no brainer. It's the WalMart of the internet.

I'm watching it but am not convinced now is the time to buy. The chart looks a little weak and the stock could go South and head back to the 20's. If it does, then that is when I would pounce.

Yeah, i think there are a lot of skeptics in the stock. though I don';t look at individual stock charts when making a decision, I am actually more concerned about the general froth in the equities market. I am buying EBAY now, and it is also on my list to scoop up if it gets seriously whacked in a general market meltdown.

ABP - going significantly higher. You want to hang on to this one for a long time.

OK Bill, I'll bite. What do you see in this stock besides plenty of room for improvement?

From the mile high view, I think we are in a loooong term bull market in commodities and energy, so I like looking for high-quality small and microcaps in this sector (obviously - because they have the most room to grow,).

I like ABP management. I like the way it's been recapped. I like the fact it's quiet.

Sooner or later, we're getting $100+ a barrel oil, at which point...this stock is well in the double digits.

why use Ebay when one can use Craigslist for free? I haven't owned Ebay in awhile..curious if they have ever viewed them w/concern in a conference call......

[as a seller, I continue to use CL more and more, especially with larger items that are either a pain to box or would incur high shipping costs. Unique items, such as an oscilloscope, I have to sell on Ebay as the local market is too small for such a special item]

1. world economies are cylcial (as are oil prices)

2. you cant eat oil or drink oil you must sell it
3. inventories (especially in the US) are at all time highs
4. There is lots of oil around and more coming on line all the time.
5. when the price starts to drop speculation will have it drop far more then people expect.

6. per any high quality college course, Cartels do not work for long. the first cheater makes the most money. A good deal of oil nations send students to these colleges.

7. They will all cheat. (as they have in the past)
8. about 5 years ago oil got down to $12 a barrell. It will go back.

Now I will tell you I have no idea whether this sceniro will play out over the next week, month, year, or decade. So I had to help opponents gauge my view. I chose $100 oil. We will see $12 oil before we see $100 oil.

BTW a secretely beleive it will start after the China olympics are over, but dont tell anyone.

Peak oil is happening now. Production rates are falling and demand is increasing. The era of cheap oil is gone.
