We are fighting a guerrilla war. The number of terrorists at work against us depends on them being organized. They are Salafi "Fish" swimming in an ocean of Muslims all over the world. We spend about 50 billion on Intel to find the fish each year.

We are stuck with the Left finding them right now. Hopefully it will be the Right next year. But the same fish will have to be found by our bureaucrats either way.

Michael Yon - Stranger By the Hour

US General now says David Axe did accurately quote him but that he misspoke about Special Forces in North Korea. But in the meantime, David Axe reportedly already resigned from the publication where he published the quotes now said to be accurate.

Is everyone taking their meds today? To rehash: US general says we are parachuting SF into North Korea...David Axe then accurately reports the quotes. Then resigns. Then the General says Axe reported accurately. This is turning out to be a strange day in the news. (And there is even stranger stuff behind the scenes on this. This is a lovely tragi-comedy.)

But check out how many of those people getting advanced degrees are foreign-born. There's a reason for that.

I wonder if there isn't a connection with the recent threats from Russia with regard to the missile shield. Could be that Polish politicians are fanning up the incident in order to have public support if they want to cancel - or renegotiate - the deal. A direct threat of an attack is a big thing. They may want to back out - or at least get stronger assurances. Remember that England entered WWII because of a treaty with Poland.

Norway Cops Threaten

Police in Norway are on the verge of declaring a state of emergency in Oslo, after tens of thousands of unruly Justin Bieber fans overran the city -- and now, they're begging the singer for help.

Justin's scheduled to perform 4 new songs tonight outside Oslo's famed opera house as part of his "Around the World" TV special -- and we're told crazed Bieber fans from all over Europe have descended on the city for the event.

We're told the crowds have swelled to such overwhelming numbers, the police lost control -- and are pleading with Bieber to take the stage early ... before all hell breaks loose ... as in RIGHT NOW.

Bieber's aware of the situation -- he just tweeted, "...for the show to happen u must all listen to the police. we are all concerned for your safety and i want what is best for u. please listen."

Bieber is currently in a secret location and will be helicoptered to the stage.

Obviously the fear with American citizens is that the definition of who is an enemy and what is a traitor can be plastic. With American citizens I want those defined by a due process, not the Chief Executive alone.

Historically, compatriots who join the enemy during wartime tend to be treated worse than the enemy. If caught, they find themselves in imminent trouble... and get shot or hung from the nearest tree. Of course, we live in more civilized and sophisticated times, but if things get more serious, like if we suffer repeat attacks... it won't take long until we'll change our notions of due process towards traitors - back to some old and tried ways of the past.
