Thanks, KLP.

Matt is a friend of mine (we met on the conservative forum, FreeRepublic). You will not meet a more devoted patriot.

His trilogy, Enemies: Foreign and Domestic, is among the most powerful pieces of modern 'literature' you will read. I strongly recommend all three books (all of them are awesome, but the third one, The Reconquista, is a must read). I wish it (actually all three) could be required reading for every voting-age American. Amazon.com has some amazing reader reviews that portray just how well-received, and how visionary, all three books are.

Well, Brumar....Good Luck.....and come back when you can...If you can post to that "Shepard" guy, you can certainly get along with most of us....

Both the Repub Party and the Dem Party are composed of a large variety of folks with all sorts of varied political opinions. If a 3rd Party is formed on either side, that will have a large variety of opinions as well....We are all in a terrible situation when a majority of people in the country lean towards having the "Government" do it for them. Since most of this group don't pay much IF ANY income tax, why should they care. They mostly have ZERO skin in the game.

I'm beginning to think that people who pay no income tax should not be able to vote....

.Radical I know.....but in the interest of fairness.....

" The great bulk of healthcare costs goes to people who never touch a patient"

Can't prove it but I believe it.

>>> The great bulk of healthcare costs goes to people who never touch a patient <<<

I was painting with a very broad brush, of course... I hope that was understood. There are plenty of people who make a living in healthcare - related fields who provide absolutely needed services without working directly with patients. My problem is not with those people, but with hundreds of thousands of those who - if the system could be deregulated and demystified - could walk away, without any real impact on the overall quality of care.

And don't forget the Income Tax Theft.....The Absolute worst of the mess is much spending is SO off the wall and totally unnecessary.....It is theft in the grandest style.....

So yes property theft IS a big deal.
Particularly if it's accomplished at the end of a gun barrel.

These problems are all over the place. My mother is renting an apartment, and her rental bill has a few components - which the co-op from which she is renting is absolutely unable to explain. How is she, at 90, going to figure out things that the "pros" can't explain? She is due for a new contract, so hopefully it will all become clearer.... :)

Warren is totally off the wall....She has to PROVE she has any Indian blood line in her.....right now, it's just hear-say. I used to think I did too, based on a picture of a Great Grandfather with some Cheroakee Indian women....and with a name like Bowmaker.... Turns out through much genealogy searching, that name and 3 other related lines compromise fully 1/4 of my 16 names on the 2Great Grandparents list....and they are all winemakers from Luxembourg...these four lines all came to America from about 1850-1865.....

But I have a great recipe for salmon cooked on a BBQ....shouldn't that count for something?

heh

what is it with residential contractors. I had some small work done on a room, mainly mudding and priming. I'm not that fast nor good at mudding (I can do small areas but not large ones) so the guy gives me a price, I say ok he does the job and bills me for double his bid, saying he bid too low and had extra work to do. Yeah like 2 hours worth on a 5 day job, you figure shit like that in when you bid a job.

If I did that as a commerical contractor I wouldn't work again. Residential guys figure they will never see you again. He used my scaffolding to do the work, I guess I will bill him a couple of grand for that, two can play this game

The ultimate solution, when we finally face it, will be to ban criminals from the country. Go to jail or leave. We don't care where you go or what you do. Never come back.

Bowmaker is a great name, very distinguished. Indians have great sounding last names to, Starblanket, Bitternose, Lonechild but my favourite is Canepotatoe which belongs to the Ministikwan First Nation and the alternate spelling Cannepotato name belongs to Seekaskootch First Nation both of Saskatchewan.
