"US Marines Give President Obama Lowest Ratings Ever
April 16, 2012 byda Tagliare

images (31)We've had a couple of postings in the past few weeks on US Marine Sergeant Gary Stein. Stein is being less than honorably discharged from the US Marine Corps for his anti-Obama website, selling Nobama bumper stickers and posting on Facebook that he would not obey an unlawful order from President Obama.

It seems that Sgt Stein is not the only Marine who dislikes the supposed Commander-in-Chief. According to a WND report, the Marine Corps Times published the results of a Military Times survey that indicated that Obama only received a 25% approval rating amongst actively serving Marines and 44% said they disapproved of Obama's performance as Commander-in-Chief.

Anti-Obama Marines was the title of an article from last month that spoke about Sgt Stein and his situation stating,

"Stein is not alone in his disdain for the president. Published in early March, the most recent Military Times survey of active-duty service members shows the lowest approval ratings for Obama's job as commander in chief since he took office in 2009: 25 percent, down from 35 after Obama's first year on the job. And rank-and-file Marines are hearing considerably more anti-Obama talk on the job than they noticed in the past."

The way the Marines have been handling the Sgt Stein case is causing many active and retired Marines to question the motive behind their actions. After all, Stein's enlistment ends this July and the Corps could have avoided all of the negative publicity by just refusing to allow him to re-enlist as he had planned to do. It would have made more sense and cost the Marines much less in negative publicity and a negative image.

Former Air Force JAG office, Lt Col John Eidsmoe, who currently works with the Foundation for Moral Law, commented on the handling of Stein's case,

"I don't think the Marine Corps has any intention of treating him fairly in any appeal. It's my opinion, but I believe Obama sent orders down from above to get rid of this guy."

I have to agree with Eidsmoe's assertion that the order to make an example of Sgt Stein came directly from Barack Obama's own hand. He has to put the fear of punishment into all military personnel for speaking out against him. When Obama declares martial law, ends free elections and takes complete control of the government, he has to have the support of the military and if they don't support him willingly, he has to force them to do so unwillingly.

I would not be surprised to see more members of the military receive punishment for speaking out against the president. If Obama can drive out many of the disgruntled service men and women and replace them with his liberal gay and Muslim buddies, he just may eventually have the support of the military, which he obviously doesn't have at the moment."

Glad to hear you've had second thoughts, Many. And your point about the GSA party is a good one!

Can you imagine Condi Rice doing this? Henry Kissinger? Allen Dulles? John Jay?

Never.

I remember years ago some politician in Philadelphia was whooping it up and buying a new Cadillac when it was well-known that he was bankrupt. The thought I heard back then was "Might as well have fun, cause it will al be over soon." Something like that.

The desperation of losers. That's what it is.

"Excuse Me Sir, You Can Only Speak Freely Elsewhere, Not Here

2010083815wlsbg1When our Founding Fathers wrote the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, they fully intended for them to stand as long as our nation stood. But as we see our nation crumbling around us, the Constitution and Bill of Rights are also crumbling to the ground.

In the latest instance, the historic city of Williamsburg, Virginia is seriously considering stripping Americans of their First Amendment right to the freedom of speech.

It seems that some merchants in town complained about Christian's trying to witness, preach and hand out materials on the public sidewalks outside their businesses. Rather than inform the business owners that the Christians' right to speak in public is guaranteed by the First Amendment, they are taking the side of the complainers and are ready to enact a city ordinance that will establish designated areas for free speech and restrict free speech in other areas. Furthermore, there would be an additional condition placed on the free speech zones stating that any speaking heard more than 50 feet away would be a violation.

The restricted areas would include Market Square and all historical areas within the city. If you've ever been to Williamsburg, the entire town does its best to draw tourists to all of the many historical sites within the city. Technically, they could declare the entire city to be an historical site and thus ban all free speech within city limits.

Michael Marcavage, founder and director of Repent America, believes the ordinance, if passed, would be unconstitutional and points out that car horns and ringing cell phones are heard further than the 50 foot restriction. He further stated,

"This is just another example as to how the local governing officials are trying to silence unpopular and controversial speech."

"If this is to pass, and if they are to establish free-speech zones, there is no question that it must be defied. We cannot stand idly by and allow them to establish free-speech zones and establish these outrageous restraints on our constitutional rights without some type of response."

I've heard so many people condemn street preachers, saying that they need to confine their preaching to the hallowed halls of church building. But when I read the Gospel accounts of Jesus, He is recorded teaching in the temple only once, but the vast majority of His ministry was preaching in the streets, hills and shores. Whenever we read about Christ being indoors, He was teaching, not preaching. But whenever we read about Him preaching, it was always outdoors, not in some man-made building. For the most part the same was true for all of the apostles including Peter and Paul. They preached in the open where crowds of people could hear them.

In colonial America, street preaching and tent revivals were common place. A number of ministers would travel a circuit, stopping to preach in every little town along the way. Sometimes they would be invited to speak in a local church and other times they would start preaching in public area where many could hear.

During the same time period, many European countries and cities had banned all forms of street preaching, especially if it was not the official state religion. This is one of the reasons so many Christians fled to America, to escape that kind of persecution and our Founding Fathers fully understood it and vowed to prevent the same thing from happening here.

Sadly, we are becoming more and more like Europe of old where the only religion that was tolerated was the state religion and even then it was confined to church buildings. Williamsburg, Virginia is a prime example of this and how Christian Americans are having their constitutional and God given rights illegally taken away from them.

Fortunately, not all Christians are allowing the government to just roll right over them. Some, like Michael Marcavage have promised to continue to preach on street corners, in public and face being arrested for doing so. I just wish there were more Americans who had the backbone and courage to stand up and fight for our rights."

Really, a lot of the difference is that we just didn't hear about everything that happened, back then. First, there was no internet then. Second, the media wasn't quite the 'sharks' they are now.

A good example was Kennedy's womanizing. We never heard about that - until after he was dead and gone.

I still see nothing wrong with going out and having a beer and taking a break from the routine. I sure wouldn't expect her to sit in her hotel room all night, every night, reading.

I doubt seriously the locals thought anything negative about this. More likely, they were delighted to see "some American muckety-muck" actually behave like a real person for a while. We don't know the circumstances of this trip, nor do we know who might have invited her out ... for all we know her local counterpart was there too, having invited her and her party out for a beer and some music. I see nothing wrong with that.

And I am about as far away from being a HIllary Clinton fan as one could get. I know very well the way she operates, and how underhanded she can be in her dealings. I have no respect for her. But I won't begrudge even Hillary having a little R&R.

If this was the most serious problem we had, I'd be one happy camper.

Democrats countered this news by accusing Walker's spokeswoman of once working at Hooters.

Pshaw!..... That's what I call desperation..... Thank God these people are getting their asses kicked.

Why is it that the democrats always sound like whining brats?....

I think Romney should offer his returns for Obama's college transcripts.

I'd settle for his real birth certificate....<g>

I do not know what network but Harrys Law surprised me yesterday. A high school kid blamed Obama for ignoring science and banning over the counter sales of some anti-pregnancy pill.

Although she did say she would vote for him , the thrust of the show was how he was hurting minors who have sex and do not want to get pregnant.
