Thanks.....Maybe it's just a coincidence that these folks are finding each other from the 1970's forward....but somehow I really wonder if it is just an accident. The fact that we knew almost nothing about Obama from the beginning, and then add his various connections....you just have to wonder.

For that matter, we still know almost nothing about Obama and his earlier life. The times we see the laughing smiling face are greatly outnumbered by the scowling, mean, scolding face we've seen so often over the last several years. Plus, the actual lies to pass his lips just aren't accidents.

Rob Portman served under Bush.

Robert Jones "Rob" Portman (born December 19, 1955) is the junior United States Senator from Ohio. He is a member of the Republican Party.[1] He succeeded retiring Senator George Voinovich.[2]

From 1993 to 2005, Portman served in the United States House of Representatives, representing Ohio's 2nd congressional district, which stretches along the Ohio River from the Hamilton County suburbs of Cincinnati east to Scioto County and Pike County. Portman won seven consecutive congressional elections with over 70 percent of the vote.[3][4]

Portman served in two federal cabinet positions under the administration of President George W. Bush. From May 2005 to May 2006, he was the U.S. Trade Representative. From May 2006 to June 2007, he was Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).[4] He has consistently received praise from Republicans and Democrats for knowledge and bipartisan work in trade and budget affairs. Portman has stated that he supported the government backed rescue plan for the American auto industry which gained the support of a majority of Americans in 2012.[5][6] He is considered a potential name for Vice President on the Republican presidential ticket in 2012.[7]

Don't know what is wrong with the Recommend button....that list certainly deserves one.....Thanks! It's no wonder most of us rail when we hear any of that group spouting their wares at every opportunity at the mic....

PS...Just got it to work....

Just found that the Recommend button won't work in a string of posts, but if we isolate each one, and Recommend one we want, it will work.....

There's 55 people in the list. Chances are good Romney's pick is in there.

NOBODY carries a card in Congress. Why be that stupid? Most of the Democrats believe in the same principles, and vote for the same laws. That is why we get frustrated and call them Leftist names. They love it when we do. They can call us "McCarthyites!" and turn the smear on us.

His whole approach here was objectionable. The last post was waaay out of line. If you can't figure it out, you shouldn't be here either. Everything with him was a "conspiracy theory."

In addition to his credentials, I can see why in terms of the election Portman could be the nominee for VP.

Portman would very likely bring in the electoral vote for Ohio.

That is the same with McDonnell of Virginia-------McDonnell in the VP slot
would bring in Va. electoral vote .

The question s , if we were looking at this from the National viewpoint , e.g. of the NRC, are as follows:

Which state is needed to carry the most electoral votes?

Which state can carry for Republicans without the VP being from a given state?

Rubio is doing well on In Trade also --------and he is from Florida-------so the same questions apply there.

McDonnell
Portman
Rubio

This is based on observation without emotion.

Obama and DNC Advisor declare tonight that "Ann Romney hasn't worked a day in her life"......forgetting the fact that she has raised 5 sons, has MS, and had breast cancer, chairs a few charities, etc....

What trashy people the DNC Advisor and their ilk are.....

They should be honest, and tell everyone that Ann Romney has never been on welfare, never applied for free meals for herself nor her family, never stood around waiting for anyone to hand her anything from the Government....

BTW, Medved had a segment today to ask what his listeners thought about the "new" idea of having the US Government pay for evening meals for some schoolchildren....in addition to the free breakfast and free lunch, now a free dinner.

Sounds like Soviet Russia....next, the folks will want the kids to stay overnight, and for the weekend as wards of the state.

IF THEY EVER DO ANYTHING like this program, hopefully we are smart enough to stop the welfare payments for the parents.....stop all the government "assistance" payments UNLESS one of the parents has been badly injured or killed in line of duty protecting this country. And both parents have to be married and living together to even think of applying for this new handout.....
