Not necessarily it depends on the economies of scale. e.g a doctor who does only one thing can set up his/her practice to maximize efficiency. For example, it might be worht the time to train an employee to do things that do not have to be done by a doctor, but are, maybe because there is not enough volume to support the cost of training an employee.
Not sure if it works that way in Medical practice, but I have seen it work in my profession.
