Because of this I'd prefer it if somebody else could take over the moderator role. Just PM me.
I can't PM you because you have me on ignore.
As you know, I moderate the AMD v Intel thread. Subject 57040
If people would be interested in the kind of liberal moderating policy I employ there, I would be glad to moderate here. I'm not a techie. I've been invested in both Intel and AMD but am not invested in either at the moment - but am watching.
If I were asked to moderate I would lift all the bans on this thread apart from the long-standing bans from several years ago which pre-date my involvement in this board.
For this board, here is an amended version of the policy I would employ:
This is not the "home board" of AMD. In SI terms, it is not a "Bulls" or "Bears" board. All investors, including the non-committed, are equally welcome.
Moderation will be liberal to encourage searching questions and open discussion in a lively and pleasant atmosphere. I will rely heavily on the self-discipline and experience of posters.
Any board can be negatively affected by posters who are often off-topic,or who bait others in a personal or insulting manner,or post often without content. I do not expect to be asked to deal with occasional lapses. But if there are persistent offenders I will use bans of increasing duration." |
