Jeff,

Those that criticize by the darkness of PM don't deserve the respect of a response.

Hard to say right now. A lot depends on what happens today.

it will be intersting to see if we get enough selling at the open to violate the 1110 level on ndx. If it is under there after 11 am it is a break of its long standing support line.
im all for a big downer today to 1180 or so, but will only believe it until i see it and then will still doubt it (ggg). this is not a forecast.

I agree. If we open like we appear we'll open, we'll be oversold on most of the charts, so some bounce would seem to be in order. The falling support line on the COMP 60-minute would appear to hold this around 1472 or so initially at the open. We'll see.

45AM Ciena: optical switching market may be picking up - Deutsche (CIEN) 6.62: Deutsche Securities says that recent conversations with industry contacts suggest that there is a significant amount of mkt activity around optical switching products, which is incrementally positive for CIEN; RFPs seem to be underway at VZ, FON, British Telecom, DT, Telecom Italia, FTE, and Telefonica, and firm expects many of these deals to be awarded over the next several months. Maintains Hold on CIEN due to valuation.
----------------------------------------

well you can't say I didn't give you a hint. Note the use of "may" though. "May" isn't "is." ....Yet. I just have this wild idea that "is" is already here, but gee, what do I know?Of course, Ciena customers have no money so this must just be nonsense anyway.

agreed. its the second wave of selling after a modest bounce that will spell the fate of the next week IMHO. if that selling comes and 1465 nas, 1100 ndx, 920 are taken out on a closing basis then RYVNX will be happy.
