Thanks! I can only give an estimation - the horizontal angle of view is about 150°. This is derived from PTGui information, the status line in the overview window. I did the final crop in Photoshop CS3 which doesn't know about PTGui's internal geometrical model of the scene.

This stitching is a lot of fun, I can recommend it heartily. I like big images with lots of details, composites are the way to get them.

Swarovski tree reloaded

My initial picture of the Christmas tree and its crystal decoration sparked interest in my family so we went for another trip to the central station today. To me the previous shot looked a bit bland with no foreground. This time I had one opportunity to put up the tripod and selected a better position.

Here's the tree up close:

Bjørn Rørslett's Nikon D3 review is up
naturfotograf.com
I hope that eventually the D3 technology trickles down to camera bodies I can afford. There's little hope for the new Nikon lens stars, the 14-24
naturfotograf.com
and 24-70,
naturfotograf.com
to become markedly cheaper.

NO super duper SLR for him, just a real old camera. Goes back to the saying, people take good photos, not cameras.
