Good grief! Do you want me to post my statements and transactions for the past 10 years? LOL!
This is what I own or have owned in the past not including cash and bond funds that typically get 2-5%...vwenx focpx dtgrx ssmvx mgemx
Now that everyone knows almost all of my holdings as I posted my equities previously, you will be able to see what a genius of an amateur I am. Maybe I should start a pay site!..ROFL!!

I will give DD the first month free...

Thanks for sharing!

My apologies...FWIW, I did a prior check of your posts to see if I could find your past mention of your holdings before I asked, and did not find any. Of course, SI only references a members latest 40 posts in the member profile, give or take, so it would have been difficult for me to have known that you had already shared your holdings, without going through the entire forum history.

Very good fund selections!

Am I correct in assuming you were heavily overweighted in MGEMX and SSMVX (10-year average annual returns of 13% and 10% respectively), in order to achieve your 10% annualized total portfolio returns, since the other 3 funds have 10-year average annual returns well below 10%, and since you also held cash and bond funds that returned 2-5% annually?

Actually, I bought a lot of ssmvx when Bush took office figuring that an energy heavy fund would do well. And I transferred it once it looked like we would get a socialist in the white house. I have flipped the others a few times which may have helped a little. Just recently I went all to mostly cash and a few days later went almost all of it back into the tech funds LOL...the market was playing with my sensibilities.

You said above 1211 might confirm the idea of a 5 wave down in your post I replied to.

Congratulations!

Your active approach (i.e., flipping equity funds) has clearly contributed to your success, since the returns on the funds themselves cannot solely account for your envious 10% average annualized return.

You would do very well to run a service letting subscribers know about your short term trades/flips!!! Something to think about!!

I wish I had your same successful trading skill and your ability to be so nimble in volatile markets ....it is always a difficult decision for me to actively flip quality mutual funds in what is perceived by many (myself included) as a constructive market environment. I guess I need to reassess my approach...perhaps heed the warnings from guys like Hussman and Cramer with actionable moves in a portion of the portfolio, instead of a buy-and-hold strategy based on blanket optimism that the economy/stock market will rally/rebound/return to bull market status.
