HPQ has a market cap of $114.82B the dept is less than 5% of the company value. Your argument is not holding.
?? What's "my argument"? Kumar indicated businesspeople don't need debt, I replied many large businesses do need debt, then he brought up HPQ for some reason, and I pointed out that they have some debt. I don't think you can argue with that.

That's awesome! I had lunch in the pictured restaurant (the Beach House) back in September.

OK, calm down...
I brought HPQ as an example of a large business as opposed to my small business. Been at HWP for 11 + years....
Any acquisition done to expand the biz was paid with cash, not stock. zero debt.

2) Israel's long standing claim that it would never be the first to use nuclear weapons in the ME
They'll just claim that anything East of the Persian Gulf is the Eastern Middle East, and they will not be the first to use nuclear weapons in the Middle Middle East...

Your point escapes me. Do you still think debt is bad for a business?

managed and prudent debt is good to expand.
take it down to the individual level : 100% finance and interest only payment is not good.
IMHO, the US govt is close to being (if not already) in the 2nd category.
EDIT: like another poster noted : Govt is not in the biz of expansion to deliver profits to shareholders. Thats a big diff in approach.

When HWP bought Appollo it was a cash deal.
Only when HWP became HPQ, did debt become part of the picture.

"and it's you who should wake up to this fact"
Do you actually read anything or do you just make up this stuff as you go along.
