....A team of academic finance researchers recently took a fresh
look at the so-called ``U-shaped'' pattern of daily stock market
trading, the high volume at both ends with a dip in the middle.

couple that with a study that has the same u shape for the high and low of the day conducted by george angell , profitable daytrading with precision, copyright 1997

INSP....

one of many beaten downs...

banging its head against 10 for the past couple weeks..will report on the 29th after the bell.

we've got a higher low at 7 3/16, maybe a retest of that level and bounce if we see market weakness????.

Will the dips be bought for a charge to and through compx 3000?????.....

macd buy signals

obvious one is the crossover, which is the most common i would guess.

here's one from elder's book, using a histogram, if the histogram is below zero you would buy the first histogram bar that decreases in size, you would place yer stop below the recent/local low

i'll also throw this otta my personal trickbag. study the macd alongside an 89.3.5 stochastic. its one i discovered a couple years back, at one point i had built an entire system around it

i believe metastock can scan for those types of setups on an end of day basis, if that was what you are looking for. personally, i use quotesplus2 as a data provider. i can get my data from there and scan that for technical setups, on an end of day basis. they have a crude charting program. its ability is to scan mainly. it also outputs to metastock format. (there are no limits on how many stocks are downloaded from qp)

i don't use metastock alot anymore, but i could probably get you help

metastock prints reports with MACD had 100s of picks.
many were not even current - either past or trending down.
so no timesaving there from what I can tell.

thanks for stoch info, I will change my Wallstreetcity
charts to use that parameter.

I will try quoteplus2 now.

ok

maybe what you are looking for is strictly online info, quotes plus is an affordable download with accompanying basic chart function and scanning.

you can create scripts online at this site...if you don't wanna pay for the qp2, si has some qp2 threads, alot of users and user groups as well.

wealth-lab.com

there's public code on there too to use as samples

...a couple of examples with macdh...

jdsu
weekly shows Elder's signal...daily fairly close to zero line...

glw
weekly, the same Elder...daily, on the zero line, although failure to cross the last couple times.

boxmakers
have crossed zero line, tho hitting resistance area on $bmx.x at 150...

networkers
approaching zero line....utilizing Elder, the buy comes on the heels of rate cut, and those that bought and held at that point are doing fairly well...

info based on my parameters.

macdh, one of the few indicators i use...

haven't studied much with waves, tho fooled around with fib retracements here and there. I"ll give more thought to both this year.

on the weekly, snapping a line from the two peaks shows converging lines from 50 ema and the downtrendline, somehwere in the 3300 area. how does this correspond to wave or not at all?

also, on your chart, trying to give it a read here....am i viewing the ndx?,,,,with question mark at d representing which part of wave?...numbers on the right side of chart representative of???...pleez pardon if I am redundant!

on the baby step side, assuming the fact we move higher, let's see what happens to the major 3k hurdle!
