IN JUST 3 SHORT WEEKS ,

What has Fonar done since Jan. 1 2002 ?

1/ Sold another Stand Up MRI machine . Down Payment money.

2/ Received Patent on OR 360 . No More Infringing .

3/ Named one of L.I. 50 fastest growing co.s . Increasing revenues .

4/ Fonar pays OFF 3.1 mill. in Long Term Debt with stock . LOWERS Fonars LTD . Less cash going out in the future .

5/ Installed Islandia Stand Up . That means Fonar gets PAID the FULL AMOUNT owed on the machine .

6/ Fonar going to Advertize the Islandia STAND UP MRI . That means MORE business for the center that will repay the bank loan AND FONAR will be able to showcase the machine IN THE FIELD to POTENTIAL NEW CUSTOMERS .

7/ INVENTS NEW TECHNOLOGY to detect PROSTATE CANCER .

Not too bad for 3 weeks work . Does this help build a co. over time ? I believe it does .

DO YOUR OWN HOMEWORK FOLKS AND MAKE YOUR OWN CHOICES .

Radio commercials are on the major New York radio shows. Who would have believed you could hear about Fonar's Stand Up on WCBS, WQXR, WOR and WINS. All of New York and surrounding states listen to these radio networks. As I said who would have believed it if it was said a couple years ago Fonar would be advertising on the biggest radio shows in the biggest city in the world. Now I repeat my previous thoughts which I posted on AOL. I do not expect to see the TV commercials on the Super Bowl this year but the best is yet to come. Swoboda

TODAY'S FONAR NEWS, STAND-UP UP & RUNNING IN FLA.

FONAR Stand-Up MRI In Central Florida Open for Business

MELVILLE, N.Y., Jan 24, 2002 (BW HealthWire) -- FONAR Corporation(NASDAQ-FONR), The Patient-Friendly(TM) MRI Company, announced that Indomitable(TM), the Stand-Up MRI(TM) has been installed and is now operating at
The Stand-Up MRI of Orlando in Orlando, Florida. It is the only one of its kind in Central Florida. A spokesman for the facility describes the response from the medical and legal community as overwhelming.

"It's everything we had hoped for," said Chris Smith, managing director of The Stand-Up MRI of Orlando. "Our advance marketing initiative was to inform the
medical and legal community of the Stand-Up MRI(TM)'s unique ability to scan patients in weight-bearing positions as well as in their positions of pain. We showed them case studies comparing Stand-Up MRI(TM) scans with conventional
lie-down MRI scans of the same patients. They were very enthusiastic, very impressed. Since we opened," he continued, "the feedback from our referral sources has been overwhelmingly positive. They describe the quality of the
images as superb; they're pleased that the scan times are short; and they especially appreciate the fact that they can see images of the patients' problem areas when they are in their positions of pain, whatever it is - standing,
sitting, lying down, in extension, in flexion, whatever. And we're the only scanning center in Central Florida with a Stand-Up MRI!

"We've also had a number of inquiries from patients and physicians who have gathered information about the Stand-Up MRI(TM) over the internet in the hope that this new technology can shed some light on their cases, situations where conventional diagnostic tests were inadequate," said Mr. Smith.

He added, "The other aspect of the success of the Stand- Up MRI(TM) is that it's extraordinarily patient-friendly. There is nothing in front of their faces or over their heads that creates a `closed in' feeling. Patients commonly sit for their scans and find it to be very comfortable. If they wish to, they can watch a television that's installed on the wall of the scanner room."

The Stand-Up MRI of Orlando is located at 2010 South Orange Avenue in Orlando, Florida 407/841-1800. The sale was a related party transaction with outside financing. The Stand-Up MRI of Orlando started scanning patients on Monday,
January 14, 2002.

The Stand-Up MRI(TM) is now the best selling unit in the FONAR product line. General Electric Medical Systems is a manufacturer's representative for the product.

Hi Malcolm, I thought the same at first until I remembered the crackpot calls that another center got.

It was nice to see the news (all of it) and makes a person wonder what else we aren't aware of.

FONAR's Stand-Up MRI Now in Tampa, Florida Area MELVILLE, N.Y.--(BW HealthWire)--Jan. 28, 2002--FONAR Corporation (NASDAQ:FONR), The Patient-Friendly(TM) MRI Company, announced that Indomitable(TM), the Stand-Up MRI(TM) has been installed and is open for business at The Imaging Center at Boot Ranch in Palm Harbor, Florida. The scanner was purchased by Rose Radiology Centers, Inc., which also owns a diagnostic center in nearby Zephyrhills, Florida. There are now two FONAR Stand-Up MRI(TM) scanners in Florida; the other opened in Orlando soon after the Palm Harbor opening. Dr. Manuel S. Rose, board-certified in diagnostic radiology and owner of Rose Radiology Centers, Inc., stated, "We are both proud and excited to be introducing the very latest Open MRI technology to our community. For the first time in medical history, we are able to obtain MRI images with patients in their positions of pain. "A substantial part of our business is providing interventional pain management for patients throughout the Tampa Bay area, so we immediately recognized the extraordinary advantage of weight-bearing MRI. If I have a spine patient experiencing pain, especially when he stands, that's the position I want him to be in for his MRI examination. Relying solely on an MRI exam of a supine patient is inadequate because the pathology often disappears when he's in that position. The Stand-Up MRI(TM) takes away the guesswork and enables me to make a more informed and, therefore, better diagnosis. No other MRI can do that. We've been open for just a couple of weeks. Judging from what we've seen so far, we certainly made the right decision." Dr. Rose continued, "Besides the clinical advantages of the Stand-Up MRI(TM), there's the issue of patient comfort. The patient environment is very non-claustrophobic because there is nothing near the patient's head. Often, depending on the protocol, patients are able to sit for their MRIs. They've been watching DIRECTV thoughout their scans. They love it." When asked about the installation of the scanner and its performance, Dr. Rose said, "The installation went smoothly, and at 0.6 Tesla magnetic field strength, the scanner produces excellent images. In fact, we have the only high-field Open MRI in the area. We're all very pleased." The imaging center also provides Spiral CT Scans, ultrasound, and X-ray. The Stand-Up MRI(TM) can scan patients in a multitude of positions, including standing, sitting, flexion, extension, rotation and lateral bending, as well as in all the recumbent positions used in conventional "lie down" MRI scanning. All other whole-body MRIs can only scan patients lying in horizontal, or recumbent, positions. The Stand-Up MRI(TM) is now the best selling unit in the Fonar product line. General Electric Medical Systems is a manufacturer's representative for the product. Be sure to visit FONAR's Web site for Company product and investor information. www.fonar.com
