Red Sox, Tigers, and Marlins Win Big in the Major League Challenge School Competition

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The first annual Major League Math(TM) Challenge has come to a close, and with it, come some very exciting
winners. Sixteen schools in six states across the country competed for the national title using Sanctuary Woods' Major League Math(TM) educational CD-ROM
software in an effort to enhance math skills and encourage participation in creative classroom activities. The competition was supported by the Major League
Baseball clubs in each city.

Top honors were awarded to first place winner, The Winthrop School of Melrose, Mass, who played for the Boston Red Sox. Second place went to Lebaron
Elementary in Pontiac, Mich, who played for the Detroit Tigers and third place was given to Oak Park Elementary in Tampa, Fla, playing for the Florida Marlins.

``We are very excited about the Major League Math(TM) Challenge. This is the first year for this national event which will take place again in 1998,'' said Charlotte
Walker, president of Sanctuary Woods Multimedia, the company who created Major League Math(TM) and publishers of the award winning Head Coach(TM)
and Franklin Series of educational CD-ROM software. ``Baseball is the perfect learning tool for teaching kids the basics of mathematics, and we are proud that our
software is being used to encourage classroom competition and overall learning.''

In the Major League Math(TM) Challenge, students participated for their own class and for their school in the overall competition. Rather than field grounders,
students fielded from more than 4,000 questions as word problems, tables, charts, all of which use current Major League Baseball information and statistics. After
players answered a question, the game then unfolded on a simulated stadium screen with 3D photo-realistic baseball players. Correct answers resulted in a well
executed play and improved the team's opportunity to win.

The winners from the Major League Math(TM) Challenge will receive software packages from Sanctuary Woods as well as personal momentos and thanks from
the major league clubs they represented.

This is the first year for support by Sanctuary Woods. For more information contact Sanctuary Woods at 415-286-6000, or fax, 415-286-6010 or visit the

All this fluff has ZERO impact on my stock price....At least they are still in business , so to speak anyway. I will become more excited if they ever turn a real profit on products and the stock price starts to rise.

Does anybody know if SWMC ever plans on releasing financial results this year. It sure would be nice if they gave us at least one of the four quarters this year. Please let me know.

According to SW's site, the Jan-Mar numbers will be released in early June -- this changed from end of May. I think the merging with Theatrix occupied a lot of management's time. Also this past quarter closes a fiscal year so they may be looking real close at everything before publishing the results.

Theatrix Announces Innovative New Products That Teach Kids How to 'GET A HEAD(TM)'
and Have Fun Too!

New Software Teaches Middle School Children Analytical and Thinking Skills in Fun Format

EMERYVILLE, Calif., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Theatrix Interactive, Incorporated, today announced the latest products in the GET A HEAD series, WORD
HEADS(TM) and STRATEGY HEADS(TM). Like the best selling MATH HEADS(TM) product that Parent Magazine called, ``dazzlingly hip, with form and
content adding up to a winner,'' the new products are designed to improve essential skills for middle school age kids in a fun, learning environment.

When playing WORD HEADS and STRATEGY HEADS, kids design their own characters from an array of MTV-style body parts, then channel surf with a zany
cast of characters to a fictional game show network. Each game features six non-stop, action-packed channels of play.

WORD HEADS helps build verbal skills and teaches language arts through such games as ``Go Figure,'' a wacky show which rewards the player using correct
figures of speech, ``News Channel,'' which takes a comical mad-lib approach to parts of speech, and ``Meet Your Match,'' a dating game where players build
words from prefixes, suffixes, and roots. With STRATEGY HEADS, games like ``Eye Gottcha'' and ``Magic Mazes'' give shape to critical thinking skills through
labyrinths that lead to prizes, game maps that connect visual patterns, and puzzles that manipulate 3-D objects, decipher distorted images, and visualize object
rotations. There's even a ``Mystery Theater'' in which players become Sherlock Holmes-like sleuths and find the resolution of distorted images, strengthening their
deductive reasoning and visual analysis skills.

``These new products are our first extension of the GET A HEAD series,'' states Joyce Hakansson, Founder and Creative Director of Theatrix. ``With these new
additions, Theatrix adds two more exciting products that further illustrate our company's commitment to software that both educates and entertains today's youth.''
MATH HEADS from the GET A HEAD series has already won the Codie Award for Best Home Education Program for Adolescents.

WORD HEADS will be on retail shelves in August, followed by STRATEGY HEADS in September. WORD HEADS and STRATEGY HEADS are hybrid
Windows 95, Windows 3.1 or Macintosh CD-ROMS and will be available in stores nationwide at a price of $29.95 (ESP). Teacher's versions that include special
manuals and materials are also available.

All GET A HEAD titles for Windows require 486/66 Mhz or higher; 8 MB RAM; 13 MB available hard disk space as well as a 256 color VGA; double-speed
CD-ROM drive, 16 bit Windows-compatible sound card; mouse; and speakers. The Macintosh versions require LCIII; 8MB RAM (5 MB available RAM); 12
MB available hard disk space; 13`` color monitor; double-speed CD-ROM drive; System 7.1.

On June 5, 1997, Sanctuary Woods Multimedia Corporation announced it had signed a definitive agreement to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Theatrix
Interactive, Incorporated, a privately held education software developer. Inquiries regarding the GET A HEAD titles may be directed to either company.

Sanctuary Woods Announces New Head Coach Products Scheduled for Fall Introduction

New Software Products Help Improve Math and Other Skills Within Challenging, Creative Environments With Sports
Orientation

SAN MATEO, Calif., June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Continuing to lead the way in educational software, Sanctuary Woods Multimedia Corporation (OTC Bulletin
Board:SWMC) today revealed the new Head Coach(TM) software titles slated for release this Fall. Expanding on the sports-oriented learning theme pioneered by the
company, the games teach children essential math and decision making skills in dynamic, fun-filled settings.

Targeting 6 to 8 year olds, a younger audience than previous Head Coach(TM) products, a new math program (name to be announced) teaches fundamental
arithmetic skills using soccer, what is fast becoming the most popular sport for younger children. Choosing teams made up of children their own age, the
game-players are presented with simple math problems appropriate for their age group. ``Kids in this age group play soccer more than any other sport,'' points out
Charlotte Walker, president and CEO of Sanctuary Woods. ``We expect the sport's popularity will draw more kids to the product and become an effective
learning vehicle for this age group.''

Playing on the built-in connection between math and football, the newest edition of the popular NFL(TM) Math educational CD-ROM will be better than ever.
Designed so that it will never be outdated, the new version may be dynamically updated with the latest players, teams, and stats via the World Wide Web or floppy
disk. In NFL Math, kids select which professional NFL team to play for and against, then take the field to select plays. The team's score depends on how the user
answers challenging math questions designed for kids aged 8 to 12. The game unfolds on a simulated stadium screen and has nearly a quarter of a million different
play animation possibilities.

Sportscaster(TM) takes the action off the field and into the studio, where kids 9 to 14 become sportscasters who not only use the program's multimedia authoring
tools to create sports stories, but must score points in ``the game of life.'' The first Sportscaster product will ship with a video library licensed from NFL Films.
Keeping the game up-to-date and fresh, new assignments, other sports film libraries, and story lines will be available from Sanctuary Woods.

Kids are given assignments such as ``creating a highlight film of football's greatest interceptions.'' After writing the script, kids create and edit the video from the
supplied film library, then narrate and record the audio. In addition to the video clips, Sportscaster provides a library of sound effects.

While players are creating sports films, a ``game of life'' simulation runs in parallel. Presenting players with real-life business decisions, the ``game of life'' requires
them to learn to understand the strengths and weakness of the game's characters -- even their boss!
