OTOT

If you are so damn fire sure that OUR election included cheating by a candidate then substantiate your claim. If you can't then shut up about it.

Even some people in the US prefer that. A majority, actually. Gore did win that popular vote- don't forget that.

You have to understand one thing about Bush's position as governor. He had NO RIGHTS as governor of Texas to commute the death sentence UNLESS it was to set the prisoner free. His only other option was a 30 day delay, at which point, if the prisoner was unable to clear himself, he'd be put to death anyway.

Bush was in a no-win position. He didn't personally assign these people to death....they did, after all, have a trial. Whether you support the death penalty or not is another question. I happen to approve of it, though not in the willy-nilly fashion that Texans seem to.

However, to paint Bush with such broad strokes is only doing so because journalists haven't done the homework to understand why he signed all those approvals....

While you guys were debating Clinton and the Texas death penalty it appeared there was capital punishment in the marketplace today for our Redwood Shores shares.

Did not see anywhere in the usual places an ex post facto rationalization of today's dive.

No can do, empty pockets, puncture wounds in hands. Tried the knife-catching act a while ago at $24, haven't taken bandages off.

$24 is steal. Stay put for sometime. You can hire DRs for skin craft with a few ORCL shares. Really, 24 is great buy. $19 is irrational.

$19 is irrational.

Well, let's just see. We have current consensus for FYE 5/01 @ $.51 ps and 5/02 @ $.62. So that's about a 20% EPS growth rate and a 12-month forward P/E of about 34x - looks pretty rational to me.

And that's assuming that the estimates aren't taken down.

As JP Morgan once said...the market will fluctuate.
I've stopped worrying about analysing this stuff to death. The market is dead, long live the market.
