Yes, the market is closed on Monday.

Everyone is hoping for a symc like response, but symc characteristically blows out a quarter or misses big time. Merq doesn't tend to do that and I doubt that Amnon is going to be ultra rosy unless the company really deserves that outlook.

Valuation on merq? I guess it depends on what guidance is, but if estimates don't go up, I'm not so sure the stock rises.

Longer term... merq is a fabulous company!

well this can't be good

3:31PM Mercury Interactive (MERQ) 30.70 -3.03 (-9.0%): Sources are telling us that Soundview is saying MERQ may guide down from the current Q1 consensus of $0.10, perhaps 10% lower; the co reports Q4 on Jan 22 after the close.

Could be.

If the stock goes to new lows, then there is excellent support at 11.

Did you buy the stock?

So it would be a daytrade then?

I don't know what will happen to merq on Tuesday or after earnings. I know it can be a volatile stock with wild fluctuations on no news. The higher float since their two stock splits the last few years has helped somewhat calm that intraday volatility down.

Merq isn't cheap and it's not oversold.

MERQ is down over 20% the last week and a half.

Look at the 60min stochastics, a bullish crossover happened on 1-2 and 1-8 with decent results so yes it's a daytrade here.

I think the NAZ retraces soon from it's recent runnup.

I have a long term view of merq.

I've seen it lose 31% in a day on no news prior to earnings, recover some, come out with earnings that not only beat but with a good outlook only to lose even more and go on to recover to all time highs within 3 months.

Good luck on Tues.

I should have executed the plan, might still get in AH's. MERQ beat estimates by .02

Apparently they were clueless. You had a better handle on Merq's position than these guys. Hope they were short big time.
