Wednesday? I thought I had two weeks. As for the supercritical CO2, it doesn't remove the blood from the gored bulls on its own, but since there is no heat in the process, it doesn't set the stains, either.

We should be able to have the bear suit ready on time. Will you need it at 12:00 sharp, or are you going to hold off until 2:22?

I don't know yet, but if I need it (right now a very low probability event) it will of course be 2:22 PM (g).

I think that economic events reported by the media are relatively well known by the time they hit the wire. Specific numbers like unemployment, GDP and even inflation numbers can act as triggers, but they do not change major trends. I think that a mild rally here is simply a relief of the oversold conditions in the market, and bad news on employment can be interpreted by the market as positive or as negative, as the market's mood is.

Right about what?

We're discussing a possible act of terror here
in the U.S. - namely Los Angeles - and the most
recent attemped act of terrorism in that city
that comes to mind involved two Israelis.

Possible act of terrorism? What else would you call walking into an airport terminal and shooting a bunch of people -- an act of random kindness?

The only real question here, the question the PC-mad media is too terrified to ask, is who did it? I.e., was it:

[1] an Islamist vermin of the Al Qaeda variety; or,
[2] a so-called "Palestinian," i.e., an Islamist vermin of a slightly different variety; or,
[3] a home-grown American vermin, of an entirely non-Arab & non-Moslem variety?

Your suggestion that this act might just as easily have been carried out by the JDL as by Islamist vermin is so ridiculous it does not even rise to the level of contemptible.

Have you been practicing lobotomies on yourself, "drstrong," or do you really expect anyone to believe that the JDL would attack EL AL?

Don't bother answering. You are going on Ignore. I will just have to find a way to continue living without the benefit of your stunning wit-(lessness).

Right, drstrong! We do know for sure that some Israeli working for El Al killed a man!

Possibly an innocent ME philosopher for what we know...

Re: "Most probably lost an engine after takeoff, before building sufficient airspeed for crash avoidance. "

The runways at that airport seem like they ought to be long enough to allow the airplane to get above the best single-engine climb speed before liftoff. The lack of fire, however, suggests the possibility of running out of fuel.

Another reason for thinking it was probably an accident is that airplane accidents happen every day, and there's no reason why today should be any different.

Actually right now I'm at a friends home who have RoadRunner sitting on their deck with a wireless laptop..
This is incredulous!! Even wire less this is so much
faster than my computer on Adelphia !! Don't know how much is RoadRunner or my slow CPU..

Hey Max - guess I have to get Satelite, solar power, new laptop and we're a go on Paradise iSLAND !!

<<I wouldn't mind if the FBI showed us Sharon Stone's body, although I think she's getting a little long in the tooth>>

... hi Les (it's been a while) ... and you WOULD complain about Sharon's teeth while viewing her in the buff ... man, you are just too critical ... <g>
