As for Nokia, it is certainly a shame to see a company that pioneered the smartphone market fall to such seemingly insurmountable depths. Although Nokia's bad luck probably won't rub off on its sector-mates in any permanent way, look for dips, especially with the larger companies, which may represent a good entry point for the savvy tech investor.
“You’re going to see revenue decline, and you’re going to see margin decline, and you’re going to see cash flow decline,” Ping Zhao, an analyst at CreditSights Inc. in New York, said in a telephone interview. “It’s very likely in the next 12 months it will get to junk.”
The report says the lack of decent apps means that Windows Phone Marketplace has become overwhelmed by smut such as iKamasutra, HD Babes Premium and Sexy Bomb, which are all easy to find for adult and underage users alike.
TC, said: "Windows Phone doesn’t have the luxury of massive demand. Microsoft’s mobile platform needs all the apps it can get including the dirty ones.
"However, porn has a place in a mobile platform. If there’s a market for T&A apps (there is), then it would behoove Microsoft and developers to include them. After all, as the age-old saying states, sex sells. But don’t let them sit on top. Make 14- and 40-year old boys at least work a bit to find the steamy material."
